 I just looked closely at the 2 places I'd normally be standing and I happened to be right in one of them. I noticed Fredrik first actually. He's sideways and rocking out so he takes up about twice as much space in this picture as the rest of us

Edit: Now that I look closer that's definitley not Gnoff, it's Fredrik's brother.

Was just gonna say it looks more like Tobias than me :D

Will be proudly sporting my 70k 2011 survivor shirt at Ensiferum tonite!

Hoping for band announcements this week - need help to decide on whether to do Rockstad Falun in August or 70k 2014.....

Falun has Magnum, Powerwolf, Bloodbound, Sabaton, Delain, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani. Gonna be hard for 70k to top that in my eyes.

You're all wrong. The best set on broad was obviously Immolation's 4am set on the pool deck. Nile's Chorus Line set was the second best. And the bronze medal goes to Delain for their pool deck set. :beerwink:

Helstar's first set was utterly amazing. Metal Church and kreator on the pool stage had exceptional crowds. Sinister was great as well. Nightmare's first set was killer. Both Lizzy Bordon sets were amazing! Hard to pick a "best" set. Maybe Lizzy's Pool set...but also maybe Onslaught playing "the Force" entirely.

It's really hard to pick one favorite.

I loved both Helloween shows, but that was more due to my fanboyness.
Sabaton, Heidevolk, Kreator, Arkona, Ensiferum, Unexpect, Angra, Gotthard, Tyr... All great shows.

He was doing so well too...

Kreator was the best set(s) for me for 70 2013. Hands down. But Nile and especially Immolation were fantastic as well. It took about 10 minutes until I could figure out how to use my legs again after that Immolation set at 4am. So good.

Haven't posted in this thread in a while. I like list threads!!

I really only saw one "bad" sets this past year and that was Delain's first set in the Spectrum and In Flames' pool deck (I only made it through three songs). They just bored me. Helloween's first set was extremely mediocre too, due to sound issues and having the hour+ wait.

It's hard to narrow it down, because almost every set was even better than the one before it. I think, after a month and a half of reflection, my favorite sets were:

    1. Unexpect (pool deck)
    2. Rage & LMO (second set)

After that, it's a total crapshoot.
Heidevolk's second set was THE MOST FUN I've ever had at a metal show.
Holy Grail played two incredible sets -- the second one (with 'Call of Valhalla') was a perfect set list.
Dragonforce's pool deck show was so much better than I thought it would be. Marc is a hell of a vocalist.
Angra was my most anticipated band and their second set on the pool deck was unbelievable.
Tyr was great in the spectrum -- best setlist I've heard them play in the last six times I've seen them.
Sabaton's pool deck show was amazing. They also played two perfect setlists.
Nightmare was sooooooo good. . .

Completely agree with this. Heidevolk was insanely fun! Can't wait to see them again.

Turisas (Chorus Line) and Heidevolk (2nd set) were my favourite shows

Hoping for band announcements this week - need help to decide on whether to do Rockstad Falun in August or 70k 2014.....

Falun has Magnum, Powerwolf, Bloodbound, Sabaton, Delain, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani. Gonna be hard for 70k to top that in my eyes.

Moonspell just confirmed for Falun, first band I really would like to see this year, well other than Raubtier of course.

Still don't think it is enough for me to book it, I will only have been home from Oz 3 days before the festival starts...

Not only are they playing, but did you notice this?

"@ Rockstad: Falun we will do a very special show this year. We will do something we never done before, and will never do anywhere else after that... -More info about this later."

    INTERESTING.
