I love the activity for the week , but it would be nice if they tossed in a band announcement for shits and giggles  :beerhorns:

so far Turks are winning, but I'd like a new location of equal awesomeness

TOM CRUISE wrote:Yes !!!! Gets my vote too. I am betting grand caymans is another choice. 2 people I know and a member of candlemass were stung by jellyfish on caymans. So unless another exotic location is a choice that I have not been to before is announced, Cockburn town it is. The weather sucked in Cozumel in 2011, and I was too hungover to go off the ship. Bahamas I stayed off the ship. But at grand cayman I had a good time and Turks I had a freaking blast. Jell-O shots on beach " epic !!!!!

The weather did suck in Cozumel, but if it were nice the snorkeling is world class. Our little trip to the Blue Lagoon Island in the Bahamas was very nice and private for the Barge to Hell. Loved it. Grand Cayman was fine as well, took a taxi and laid on the beach with the Swedes & Irish & Hector.

I'm so far voting for Turks & Caicos, as that is the one I did not get to visit.

That was a large part of the reason, it was like a private party. The beach was right next to the boat too, which was cool.

It was awesome because it is awesome (Cockburn),the only place I wanted to go back so far.I like everything, nobody bugging to buy stuff, the beach (and the shade) and this time I want to go snorkeling .Maybe if Ladabee is a choice I try something new, :deathhorns: but so far this is my pick.

I'M afraid people will be disappointed if we go back to Cockburn. With other cruise ships around, we won't own the beach and the bar as we did last time, and that may lead to some frustrations and comparisons. Let's go somewhere new folks! :beerbang:

Turk, is probably my favorite thus far. It was really nice to get off the boat and BAM there is the beach. The only con was the windy voyage. Freeport just seems a little to close to Miami.

Oh my goodness do I love seeing the main page of threads and Andy's name highlighted as last post on the bridge. That should happen all the time.

Bahamas was cool, had regretted not seeing more of it.

2011- Cozumel, I didn't get off the ship. Looked dumpy and touristy, and after talking with Rhia--it wasn't worth it. Yet, people that partied at Senor Frogs seemed to have a great time .... I still look at pics

2012- Caymen. I really liked it. Yes the little shuttle boats were slow to get in/off of, but met new friends and had fun. Hung out at Hard Rock and shared a table with a couple people and the place was rockin! The server wished we were there every week.
I could have spent A LOT of money in Caymen at the watch boutiques.

2013-- Turks . Had a great time hanging on the beach and drinking with the Aussies. Beautiful beaches ( ok. some areas off beach were kinda shitty) but really enjoyed myself. Low pressure vendors and quick to the ship.

People on Facebook are bitching aboot the destinations of course, and yes, Caymen wil probably be the next one.
I haven't been to the Ba\hamas (Freeport or Nassau), but the majority of people don't; want to go back there.

Big hell no to Nassau. That place was by far the worst of the ones we have visited. If we go there I am not leaving the ship.

I am not going to vote for Nassau but The Atlantis is pretty cool ,outside of that I been there there and it is kinda like Grand Cayman to me( a real town and no free beach close by).Ladabee or Grand Turks is hopefully going to be our choice.Belize might be fifth choice ,but I done some research and a lot of people don't like it.I am still thinking no tender boats which takes out Coco Cay and Grand Cayman.

Ziplining and Mayan ruins are both pluses for me. Will have to look more into the port but sounds like a decent candidate at first glance.

    Open bar? http://www.costamaya-mexico.com/tours/mexico/jungle_beach

Edit: Looks like a couple of excursions offer free food and booze. Need to take a shuttle out to the spots as they're not by the port but certainly are options.

Looks like a winner ,a 4 hour tour to the Mayan Ruins and the port area has a bar with some saltwater swimming pools. This or Turks would be fine but since I been to Turks voting for something new. This would be our longest trip in miles and the Majesty will be at full cruising speed but weather will be good hopefully. If Freeport wins I Will need a recount immediately :bitch:

I heard gun possession is permitted in the US. I'll probably get shot in the head a soon as I get in Miami, I heard stories in the news. Come on people, google the destination (and most areas in the country) a bit, it's SAFE.

US Department of State has not issued any Travel Warning to Quintana Roo (the state where Costa Maya or Cozumel are)

    http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_6033.html

Quintana Roo: Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya and Tulum are major cities/travel destinations in Quintana Roo - see attached map to identify their exact locations: No advisory is in effect.

This is because drug violence is almost non-existent in the Yucatán peninsula.

Costa Maya seems like a good option. Right now it's paired with Grand Turk. I'll decide over the weekend.

Costa Maya sounds fantastic! Four hour tour to see local culture and history, Mayan ruins, and then back for a couple of hours of drinking on the beach.

I'll take seeing local culture any day over being trapped in some overpriced American tourist trap like most Royal Carribean islands. I can drink Budweisers and buy American tourist junk any day, I'd rather learn about local history and see really cool ruins!

I think I'll vote this one because it's new and it's right next to the beach like Turks was. Lots to do it seems too

to eat or to look at? There was a snorkelling expedition with turtles not far from Tulum that I did year 1 that was cool. As far as I know the only place it's legal to eat turtle is Cayman Islands because they have a farm there (it was delicious).

I just checked on internet and all I can say, Costa Maya is my best favourite destination until now as they have some trams that take passengers from the ships to the port, very useful for disabled people  If there aren't too many difficulties, I would be very interested to visit the ruins, without to climb up the pyramid, of course  If we are going there, I will definitely go out of the ship :headbanger:

Looks like there's no other ships on 29.01. so far, which is also a plus.
