Just lose a proportion - 25%. Then it becomes 50% 27th of next month:

Cancel Until October 27, 2013 - Cancellation fee USD 100.00 per Passenger
November 27, 2013 - 25% of Grand Total Ticket Price
December 27, 2013 - 50% of Grand Total Ticket Price
after December 27, 2013 - No refund

which really sucks as compared to previous years to the number of cabins sold early to number of bands announced ...... due the stats on that one cowboy

That one would be a bit hard to quantify :)

Because the early bookings this year would probably only have been driven to a minor degree by the bands announced. A lot would have been driven by positive word of mouth, veterans booking almost blindly etc.

Then, the first cruise even though it was a pretty great lineup sold slowly due to it being all new and stuff, the second sold a little better, then the third was a bit slower IIRC due to the presence of Barge splitting the market somewhat.

We will most certainly see a different thing next year I am certain!! Unless the early announcements consisted of my ultimate wishlist bands like Within Temptation, Magnum, Powerwolf then there is absolutely no way I will be booking early, if at all. And there seem to be a lot of very jaded people that are feeling the same way.

But, we can only hope that UMC turn things around in the THREE MONTHS remaining until we sail.

And there is a possibility that we could end up having a period of zero bands being added, that lasts longer than the entire 'band adding phase' for 2013!!

From the first bands being announced, to Cryptopsy being the last for 2013 - that spanned 212 days.

So far, we have gone 162 days since Carcass! And November is historically VERY quite - 1 band added in Nov 2010, none at all in 2011, and a big silence of 42 days from early November to late December last year!!!

Total silence = 100% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
Just the Kamelot Replacement = 98,76% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
few subpar bands = 94,43% chance of cancellation chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
few bands I like(2 or 3) = 22,43% chance of cancellation and I am heading to Wacken
more bands(at least 5)... = I am in


The only band I am hanging in is: Dark T.

I just bought another house and I could use the money to buy a sink, tub, etc....

I called Royal Caribbean today, and they said that they have the charter booked, and nothing has been said about cancellation.

It must suck to write those e-mails. From what I've heard, Andy doesn't share much plans with the rest of UMC, so maybe they are as in the dark as we are. That or they have the instruction of NOT sharing information until it becomes official, so they have to write e-mails like this one. It must be terribly frustrating for them.

That being said, it seems "on the horizon" and "on a later date" have become "very soon". Does that mean anything? Probably not, but we can hope.

You know Andy has sat back and heard us yell ... Best cruise ever, it doesn't matter what bands he adds, we'll be there, it's about the fans not the bands, and so on and so forth for 3 years now ................... maybe he is testing the theory (in my defense) I have been on every cruise and all have been great, I am confused and worried, but I believe we have brought some of this upon ourselves.

Is it right ( Hell no ) is Andy in trouble? (I have a few personal worries on this, I feel the Allison, Blake departure may play in this) I won't go into details, but think about it.

Until they say this won't happen, I WILL BE THERE. Faith in a good product is all I have, and so far have not been disappointed. damn I need more beer.

The thing that bugs me the most is the "non-info". If there at least were a reasonable stream of some kind of info at all on the website I would be a lot calmer. The total silence is very irritating and only brings bad moral. I am certain this will straighten itself out and become a fantastic voyage. That being said I am also pretty certain I will not book 70k again.. unfortunately.
