Can't wait to onboard the ship? Take a look!

    by Zeh » Thu Mar 04, 2010 3:16 pm

I was looking for some information about the ship, and found out an youtube video who shows the perspective of Deck 2 rooms and some images of the ship.

Just 325 days to see it personally :D

I have seen some photo's of what my friends did to their cabin before on a cruise in Sweden. It wasn't pleasant. They managed to break all the doors among other things.
Although i doubt you'll see that kind of carry on aboard this cruise

WHOA those rooms are tiny...! we have a room on deck 6 with two pullman beds (there's four of us) - does anyone know what the schematics are for a room like that? are we going to have to step over one another while we're sleeping?! LOL.

luckily, it looks like there's plenty of room to spread out on the rest of the boat. :)

Can't say for sure, but I would assume that any room that they offer to put pullman's into would HAVE to be larger than the one in the video. However, the deck plan lists all interior cabins as 119 sq ft, sooooo you may be getting real cozy with your cabin mates...    (Glad I am going with my wife)

When I went on a cruise 10 years ago, I was in a 4 bed room and the 2 extras were like bunk beds. Not sure if Royal Caribbean ships are the same. Here is a link for an example http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb250/sclmkl/Twobedsetupaspullman.jpg

So, this is where you all are going to spend the 4 most fucking orgasmic days of your entire life?
Fucking Nice... and fucking depressing at the same time [I'm the asshole who's not going at all... ]
While watching the video, I just imagined the cruise crowded with metalheads, metal-stages, metal-booze and some metal-hardcore :headbanger:
BTW... I was off from here due to some mental-depression-fuckedupidity [which means to be fucked up and stupid at the same time] shit, and yes, all because of the fact that I'm not going to be there to meet all of you crazy mother fuckers!!!
Anyway... It's good to be back and read you all...
Still thinking about the possibility to reach you in Cozumel , to have some drinks/metal-time for at least 1 fucking day :viking:
70000 tons of reasons to get my ass there on 2012!!!

Definitely looks spectacular. If it was just another regular cruise, listening to the Gladiator soundtrack and watching the sunset or sunrise while on the ship, would most likely give you the most peaceful feeling ever.

You'll probably find yourself passing out somewhere else other than your cabin throughout this trip. With the amount of drinking and partying with other metalheads, you're probably not going to even spend a whole lot of time in your cabin and I personally would rather sleep on the deck (in one of those nice lawn chair thingys) if I have to sleep.

I"m going to definitely load up on redbull or whatever they have on the ship to stay awake for as long as humanly possible thoughout this trip.

Shit! Didn't heed the warning :puke smiley: I can't wait until one of the forum members here posts one with real music. I can at least handle Jimmy Buffet, though.

Seeing the top deck has me wondering, where is the pool deck stage going? Is it going to be right at the edge of the pool? That's putting many electronics close to a whole lot of water.

Hah! Just took a look at some of these videos and the ones that show up as suggestions on the side of the YouTube page.

    I particularly like this one from 00:38 - 00:42
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlEgNgB-TTY&feature=related

    and
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIoGtpHUkIw&feature=related

This one keeps making me laugh 'cause it's kinda music oriented. I'm imagining what this boat will look like with all of us instead of the line dancers and that poor couple dancing to "Walk The Line". Walk the plank more like it.

This one keeps making me laugh 'cause it's kinda music oriented. I'm imagining what this boat will look like with all of us instead of the line dancers and that poor couple dancing to "Walk The Line". Walk the plank more like it.

  The staff on broad have no clue what they are about to get themselves into.

Well, I watched the videos you guys recommended and some more in that endless source of shit that is You Tube and I have the following comments:

    1. The ship is really HUGE, but didn't like the insides, looks like a mix of bad taste mall and hooker's disco, doesn't it?
    2. The outside is much better, it looks amazing, I can imagine the nights under the stars, with metal, beers and good mates to enjoy it
    3. The cabins look very tiny, I'm glad my Queen Debborah got an upgrade, if not we would have to sleep in shifts or something...
    4. I hope we get black life-vests, they seriously don't want us to wear those orange things, right???
    5. I couldn't believe the stupid "group activities" and lame parties people so proudly show on their cruise videos. Damn, have you seen that depressing spectacle of hundreds of people moving in clumsy synchronicity to a shitty disco music, all so happy having a lot of fun??? Arghhh, I need to puke now!

OK, I need to calm down, before Pedrogul transforms into Pedrowrath, paying homage to our wrathful Irish mate!!! Cheers, Man!
Sorry, I'm edgy because tomorrow I return to work. Fortunatley only for 3 more weeks. YESSSSS!!!!

The life vests are orange for good reason. You can see orange easier than black from a distance.

Bring it on, I love disco AND techno. I have the very diverse musical taste of a seasonedd European metalhead, who have very very different tastes in music.

Damn, I'm sick of being an Oiler, so I'm putting one more useless post to work for the promotion! After all, I was a Navy officer in my youth (it's true, at the time we had mandatory military service in Portugal and I got "lucky" and was drafted to the Navy...) Spent the most useless 18 months of my life there, but I got the chance of being onboard a beautiful sail-ship, the School-ship Sagres (name of a city in Portugal but also the name of one of our best beers, no kidding).
Well, let's say I drank a lot of Sagres aboard the Sagres!!! :givebeer:

@ Max_Rockwell : tks, Man, I kind of had a feeling the vests were orange for some reason!!!

@ Tom Cruise: now THAT was a surprise! I liked Disco when it was big in old crazy 70's... but I was just a child then, in the 80's I started hating it with all my Joy Division soul, and we hate each other until today... But hey, I love seeing Shakira, Kylie Minogue and so on, I just press MUTE and enjoy the sights!!! :beerwink:

i know, the rooms are small!!! but luckily there is so much room everywhere else on the ship....and #5....that is what i normally hate about cruises and it's the only reason i'm going on a cruise, because it's a freaking METAL CRUISE! no shitty dancing for me.
