    Destination?

    by Pabbicus » Fri Jul 02, 2010 1:11 pm

Hey, I'm going to be travelling to Miami from Orlando by bus if I can take part in the festival. Where should I be arriving so I don't have to shell out another $40 for a taxi to get me there? What day should I be coming, as well? Early on the 24th, or just head down on the 23rd and spend the night there?

Safest bet is to arrive the day before. That way, if your travel plans have any interruptions at all, you won't have to panic and risk missing the trip of a lifetime. Silly me didn't really thing this through before booking my flights so am relying on dead ancestors and musical spirits to get me to the dock on time
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

YESSSS...definatley a GOOD idea to arrive the day before!!!.....

    Boarding:
Our sailing time is 5PM. Boarding will start at 12PM on January 24, 2011. Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior to the sailing time. Please note: All guests must be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you will not be permitted to sail. In other words, you have to be on the ship by 3.30PM

SO REMEMBER ALL YOU METALHEADS!!!!! CHECK IN "ON LINE" THREE DAYS PRIOR TO SAILING......AND BE ON THE BOAT BY 3:00 P.M!!!!!!!

(you learn so much when you read the fine print lol) :headbanger:

Thanks Deb, I better remember all this. This is too much to deal with. I mean, this is supposed to be a vacation, right? I know I'll forget something... Like a passport. We should generate a master checklist:
    1. liquor smuggling device
    2. fish for witchbear
    3. passport
    4. be there at 3pm
    5. on-line check in
    6. flippy floppies with devil horn modification
    7. and a good book

As long as you am on boat in time, then being sober am not an issue. If not, me am going to be disapointed to not cook you up on sheet metal skillet

As long as there are railings on the boat it should be fine boarding drunk. Can't see myself climbing those... then again...

Rock n' Roll ribs has fucking GREAT ribs. The place isn't just a gimmick. It's also surprisingly cheap.

The food there is great, the prices are low, the place is really nice, ... so we'll make sure to stop by before the cruise. :viking:

It's funny, I have yet to go that place. I've gotten mixed commentary about the food from it being good to just so-so.

I figure I'll just wait until Maiden finishes their present round of touring, so that when I go I can fully immerse myself in the Nicko experience (complete with bad British humor). Always a hoot
