These are all really good guesses!

BUt I think we need to brainstorm it a little more....they said they
picked up one guy from the woods of Canada, that will help to complete a new band with some pretty well known
musician's from TWO other countries....and they are now heading SOUTH....

This would, in a most enormous way, make me one exTREMEly happy fucking camper/penguin/metal nerd... but I'm having trouble letting myself believe. It just sorta wouldn't compute with where they're all at with other projects and such. UNLESS... maybe it's gonna be a whole mess of locals and related projects such as Zimmer's / Fear Factory / Mechanism / Dethklok / DTB / SYL... you could really book all 6 by only bringing about a dozen or 15 or so key people on board. I'm not a HUGE FF or Dethklok fan but would definitely welcome the whole lot of 'em if such a thing were possible.

I usually like riddles but this is hurting my wee brain!

According to Hoglan's sister Lisa (a good friend of Nilay's), Gene is NOT booked/scheduled and until very recently was unaware of the cruise. So unless Lisa is pulling a good head fake, it doesn't look like Gene will be pounding skins on the ship.

:givebeer: and a boss with a clue because the current one is a fucking moron who managed to F up my birthday!

ow well perhaps it is because of the taxes

meanwhile I am getting curious which bands will follow after they have been to Canada.
perhaps back to Europe? Finland, to pick up korpiklaani to accompany the woodsman they have found?

Okay, at this point I think we can take Hail! right out of this equation, as no one in that band is Canadian. Same goes for Yngwie's band.

Fear Factory also doesn't apply, since that's one Canadian and three Americans. Zimmer's Hole, 4 Canadians and 1 American

Devin Townsend still remains a prime suspect, and even though most of the musicians on the last DTP album were also Canadian, Anneke wasn't. He's also worked with a number of other musicians of other nationalities, so maybe he's cooking up something we wouldn't expect. It does say it's a "new" band after all, so this could very well be something we haven't seen before.

It's all rather vague, so I'll leave my theories as stated above...for now.

    Interesting theory sir!

I hadn't read "complete a new band wi..." to mean an actual "new" band but rather a new band announcement. The solution to this riddle could indeed prove to be quite an entertaining addition to our trip. :headbanger:

I remember the first time I threw on Vai's Sex and Religion. I was like "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS SINGER, and is he COMPLETELY INSANE!?" I have always been floored by Townsend's work across the board, adding him to the cruise would be pure f'ing magic! Fingers crossed...

Lumpy futon in the studio with your name on it anytime ya wanna head out for a show sir!

Sorry I don't have space to put up the whole band if you guys book a gig out here.

Unless, of course, sleeping on the floor is good for the metalbolism, (see what I did there? :ugeek:) then you're all welcome. :shred:

Haha I will keep that in mind dude!
    That would be sweet.

Metalbolism is always fueled by floor sleeping..

I started to read this thinking you were referencing some obscure band "Lumpy Futon" working on a new album   That's what I get for not reading far enough into the back-posts.

Well at least I know how Deb feels most of the time now...

:givebeer: and GODAMNIT another band announcement before I get all pissy...

I still have their first demo, "Cheapass Ikea Back Cracker" on cassette...

Apparently the working title for the new one is "Spinal Death"
