). At the time we had known of each other but had never met. We were both from the Chicago-land area and had many mutual friends through the local (and most awesome) Iron Maiden/Priest tribute band, Judas Beast Chicago. http://www.judasbeastchicago.com seriously, guys, they're amazing. Anyway, after finding out through our friends that we were both attending the cruise, we decided that we absolutely withoutafucking doubt had to meet. Well, he made it his mission to find me on the cruise. And through the sea of metalheads, I believe it was the second night on the cruise, during the indoor Nightwish set, he had finally found me.
Of course, we immediately felt a bond. Two metalheads with almost identical taste in music and the same friends? How had we not met before! On March 17, after an Iced Earth show back in Chicago, we decided that we were awesome and needed to be together. We have gone on Barge to Hell and the last 70k together and have had a blast!
Fast-forward to December 20, 2013. He proposed and I said YES! We can't wait to celebrate our love with you guys on the next cruise! See you all SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
I won't be seeing you two on the next cruise - but hope you'll be at Amon Amarth/Enslaved at HOB Chicago in February.
