Yeah, it is like drinking in a bar in Canada. Prices in Miami are cheaper though.

Really? I remember Miami being expensive as fuck, especially in Grand Central. One beer cost $8, which we can get a 6 pack for at that price. Maybe I'm a cheapskate.

A $20 bucket of buds does me fine 6 or seven times.

It's more than $20 for a bucket of bud. It's $40 for a bucket of blue moon

Depends where you go, if you go to some 'nice' place on ocean it's expensive but at dueys, flannigans, etc I thought it was at least cheaper than here.

So I contacted Royal Caribbean through their online chat and they told me that the company that charters the boat can make changes to the availability of the beverage packages. If UMC does get a cut of booze sales then the alcohol packages are probably a no go.

Yeah I called royal Caribbean and they told me that the 'travel agency' I booked the cruise thru locked the account in regards to making pre cruise purchases and then I emailed umc and asked about it but they did not respond...sucks cause I would so rather go on the trip knowing I have unlimited beer at my disposal but if it can't happen I will just have to give myself a drinking budget which works but is not as much fun!

Seeing as how they are excluding all the good stuff, as well as buckets/etc anyways I really dont see the point in the drink package.

I wonder if we're still allowed to bring in two bottles of wine per stateroom... RC says we are in their FAQs.

Yep. And if you go separately they don't even really moderate per stateroom so you could probably get away with 2 per person.

    :( UMC emailed me:

    Dominic,

Thanks for writing to us about this!

    We appreciate your feedback.

We have already contacted Royal Caribbean about this technical issue. You will be able to purchase select beverage packages such as the unlimited Soda package once the issue has been resolved on their end. Please note that we will not have the Unlimited Alcohol package available to purchase.

i just found this sweet page outlining prices for almost every drink: http://www.shipcruise.org/royal-caribbe ... nk-prices/

below are beer prices for example. i do find it interesting that miller lite $1.25 less per bottle than bud lite. :belly: :belly: :belly:

    Royal Caribbean beer prices
    1. (non alcoholic beers, 12oz) Buckler, O’Doul’s $4,50
    2. (16oz) Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, Coors Light, Michelob Light $4,50
    3. (12oz) Dos Equis, Singha, Corona Extra, Amstel Light, Heineken, Heineken Light, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Tiger, Kirin Light, Red Stripe, Bass Ale, Stella Artois, Beck’s $5,50
    4. (12oz) Smirnoff Ice, Sierra Nevada pale ale $5,75
    5. (16oz) Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Select, Michelob ULTRA $5,75
    6. (12oz) Blue Moon Belgian Ale $6,50
    7. (24,5oz) Foster’s Oil Can $8,00
Note (limited offerings): periodically, RCI feature beers unique to itinerary or of special interest. Ask your server for what’s currently available on your sailing. The RCI’s beer menus in onboard pubs, like “Hoof & Claw”‘and “Wig & Gavel”, have the most expanded beer lists, offering 16- or 20oz specialty beers, such as Murphy’s Irish Stout, Newcastle Brown Ale, Boddingtons
