only problem I see is it has a lot of color, so the silk screen will be pricey...

    oh and Deb's spelling corrections

and you may have to delete Strato...

The resident non-metalhead chiming in here (also going to sound like the village prude,) I think the shirt is badass and would love to have it. However, I would also like to be able to wear a shirt commemerating this cruise and with an 8 yr old and 3 yr old I can't really wear a shirt that says "Fuck" out and about too often. ;) But, this probably won't be an issue for too many so don't let my Mary Poppin ways spoil the fun.

    1) how the fuck did i misspell Miami and Cozumel  ... i thought I copied and pasted from the website . oh well easy fix

    2) and yes STRATOVARIUS is out and ENSIFERUM is in ....... the back of shirt will change as many bands are missing yet

    3) Tim would be pissed if I removed the word Fuck from his phrase   :givebeer: ........ a pg version substituting the f word with hell maybe?

    4) bikini clad women/woman ... where could we put her? between the dudes legs haha (to scale bouncing boobies on the ship would be near impossible to see)
i really couldn't find a good image that went with what i already did ........ i'll look a little more.

    5) price for a once in a lifetime trip ... hell i've already got a couple grand into this thing. what's $50 bucks more? give or take the $1000 buck bar tab lol

If the promoters like this and wish to make changes and fix the boo boos ...... I can send them my photoshop saved files. this was just a suggestion/ playing around.

I may make a couple iron ons and put them on a black shirt ....... at least I'll have a copy of it then :beerhorns: :P

for number 3: indeed  c'mon it can't be beeped away. luckily in holland we can see fuck as much as we want to. won;t be bleeped out in any show :headbanger:
i mean, are men or mice?

for the underlined part. perhaps we could someone make a picture of him/herself but if's not possible this figure will do just fine!

i don't know the means mike has to make a shirt like this (there deffiniatly will legal issues) but perhaps can andy/allison can tell if they are able to realize this.
I not alltogether not unfamiliar in making shirts, so if we puts some heads together it should work out!

I think the back of the shirt looks too cluttered. Too many colors. There should be 4 rows of bands, 10 bands per row, all the same color. Like the shiny looking logos on the website, or the color of the "Raven" on the shirt.

Just a suggestion, or my opinion.

personally i prefer the colored logos myself .... but to each his own.

thanks for all the input ........ even if this never goes anywhere, it's been fun playing around with the idea.

I'm sure the promoters already have their own idea for the cruise shirt ......... and to sheila i wouldn't mind tank tops / muscle shirts for the guys either .... hard to find tank tops of bands in general ....... i hate sleeves, bug the hell out of me.

The colored logos do look cool, but cost-wise, the more colors you add to a silk screen design, the more it costs. If I understand the process correctly, each color adds an extra pressing, so consequently adds to the cost. That is why so many concert shirts (or screen printed shirts in general) only have 2-3 colors.

Even if the organizers have a design, I sure hope they consider this one as well, it is excellent! (hello Andy...)

Another question is, how much would we all be willing to spend on these shirts? Personally I would be fine with $20-$30, maybe 2 for $50.

well you figure there are only going to be roughly 3000 made at best (only guessing here) .... (the 2000 tickets plus bands and crew) wouldn't want to many extras laying around

we would probably get an e-mail asking for sizes and maybe style of shirt (I would think) $30 bucks wouldn't be too unreasonable IMHO.

I checked a couple custom printing sites out and the printing prices are roughly $2 - $5 plus t-shirt (depending on number of shirts and color) (and like disaster area said most only do up to 3 colors, seen a couple that do 6 colors) but that is for silk screened ... heat transfer is limitless (any image) but we all know how long that last ..... .. not sure what other processes there are (computerized spray painting maybe?)

I used to work in an monogram shop. I know they get their shirts dirt cheap! Coarse you gotta make a profit so things get marked up. I know the more you order the cheaper the shirts will be. As far as the actual cost of the shirt plus the art work on it.. Its cheaper than the $30 you pay at a festival... once again.. profit. Call around to different shops. Watch out for copy write issues. Some places might need an ok from the company. I love the idea though! :death:

thanks for all the input ........ even if this never goes anywhere, it's been fun playing around with the idea.

I'm sure the promoters already have their own idea for the cruise shirt ......... and to sheila i wouldn't mind tank tops / muscle shirts for the guys either .... hard to find tank tops of bands in general ....... i hate sleeves, bug the hell out of me.

The shirt looks f#$@in great! I would definately buy one. Hopefully it won't be some ridiculous price like at concerts. Making our own versuses buying an official one... I like it.

I can't believe we have 974 registered users and only 17 people have even voted in this poll. You'd think even the lurkers who have nothing to post might enjoy choosing an option from a goofy poll...

Then again, where did all the shirt images disappear to?
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me
