You mean we'd have the whole lineup with a full six months left, allowing people to make a more informed decision about whether they want to go? Yeah, that'd be awful.
You know, most music festivals don't do this. MDF announces its entire lineup like a year in advance. I think you have a mild form of Stockholm Syndrome or something - UMC has made you believe that the band announcements are "part of the experience..."

And they're absolutely right. If you don't like it, don't go.

Are there people who like it? I hate it, it's like I'm gambling. Still going though.

But since they are there maybe some announments during the festival.I take Inquisition , Candlemass ,Carcass ,Nightwish and Kataklysm please.

Your point would have merit were it not for the fact that Andy has tended to add the least known bands in the last few weeks, or even days (or even HOURS lol) before the cruise. When lots of people are either already in Florida or in transit. Leaving little chance at all to check them out.

Actually not true - If I lived near Montreal I'd absolutely go, to see Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Alter Bridge, Seb Bach and Sabaton.
But the only band out of all those I'd want to see on 70K would be Blind Guardian (and Sabaton but they are ruled out), and maybe Nightwish (but I've seen them live over a dozen times so I'd rather someone else).

Releasing large groups of bands every few months could mean that lesser-known bands aren't getting the attention they deserve. With bands being announced individually, everyone who's planning on going on the cruise will most likely check them out at some point. This means that the band has a chance of gaining more fans before the cruise even starts (I became of a fan of Distillator right away because of this). If bands are announced 20 or 30 at a time like they are for MDF, lesser known bands will be overlooked as people ogle Venom, Apocalyptica, and Anthrax. I hope he keeps announcing the bands individually until December or January when they start grouping them together 3 or 4 at a time.

Every single year there has been one or more exceedingly long periods between announcements. I'm talking anywhere from 1 to 6 months.
It would not be surprising if we didn't get another band announced until November.
