Yeah, I'm most excited to see everyone again. Maybe I can actually hit up the forum meetup this year, instead of having to rush to Equilibrium!

I mean yeah, I'd like one more band where I just freak out, like I did for Amorphis. But this lineup is dope, a lot of the bands I didn't know I'm really excited about (Draconian, Saltatio Mortis).

Looks like Andy is teasing Gojira pretty heavily here. I'd be fucking ecstatic if it is them but we've seen "clues" before that didn't end up leading anywhere so I won't get my hopes up too high for them specifically.

There are a lot of great "G" band possibilities though so my overall hopes for the next band are pretty high.

As far as power metal goes...Orden Ogan is a decent add. Will definitely check out a set if it doesn't conflict with a must see band.

I never heard of Orden Ogan before this announcement... and given how the past couple "weenie" announcements were really terrible, I wasn't expecting much. That said... I listened to about 5 songs or so and...

I probably wouldn't listen to them on a regular basis, but there was enough heavy riffs and awesome musicianship there to make me want to stumble my inebriated br00tal self into a set or two and dance around with all the cruisers I rarely see because of the divide in our musical tastes.

And considering that the split between GWAR and Kim Dylla was less than amicable....I would be really surprised to see GWAR ever welcomed abroad 70K.

I was really psyched to see Orden Ogan at ProgPower, but found their set underwhelming. They weren't very tight musically and were lower energy than I was anticipating. On a typical tour date I'd be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But given how excited they were about PP and how psyched they were to be performing in the U.S. for the first time, I'm left believing they're just not a great live act. If they are in fact announced, I'll hope I'm wrong.

I also looked forward to seeing Orden Ogan at Prog Power a few years ago. I was very disappointed with the performance. Maybe I was expecting too much from them. I currently have no interest in giving them another chance & seeing them again.

I would be ecstatic if it was Gojira, because it would be a second wish list hit for me, even though I'll see them in Seattle in October.
Their newest album "Magma" is fantastic and their best ever for me, more prog and less brutal. Worth checking them again, if you haven't heard it.
But it doesnt really fit the clue because Godzilla is not a monster, he's just a misunderstood creature suffering in a world that rejects him

The last several announcements have all been solid zero-setters for me and judging by the three songs I tried on Youtube, this definitely continues the trend. Next one seems to point to Gojira, which would continue that streak.

But, the Statmans are booked, so there's a silver lining on this cloud. And I'm seeing Nightwish with Delain next week and Anneke the next, so it's pretty hard to ruin my good mood.

Grave Miasma would be amazing, but I guess I'm seeing them in Tilburg in March anyhow. Grand Supreme Blood Court would be too good to be true.
