    Demolition Hammer is sick

    Image

I am so sold on Demolition Hammer. These guys rule. I just got Epidemic of violence and Tortured Existence in the mail. Thats some top notch thrash. What happened that they disappeared for the last couple decades? Glad to have them on board. The image is a promo sticker from Epidemic of violence. It made me laugh when i read it

I do like them, but I don't particularly understand the hype. I love a lot of old school thrash, but Demolition Hammer seems a bit generic to me... as in they are good at what they do but don't really stand out to me. That said, I am still intrigued to see them live based on what others have said.

I'm not taking anything away from them, - but from what I've heard (a spattering of songs on Spotify) they didn't grab my attention. Some of the artists who I'm unfamiliar with have made me sit up & think "wow,... gotta check them out", DH just didn't do that for me.

I guess whether I see them will greatly depend on their set time / clashes with other bands who I do wish to see.

A lot of the forums said they are stellar live, so I'll head to a set and see what happens. They have that old style of thrash vocals which is VERY hit and miss for me.

They're good. Don't miss the set. Nothing on the boat justifies missing the set.

they disappeared because their drummer died. They put out another album after, but they intended it to be a different band but the label insisted they stay Demolition Hammer. The last record was stylistically different (slower) and most fans didn't like it... so then they went on and had other projects.
Now they're back. They got a drummer that absolutely nails it. They're tight as hell live... DO NOT MISS THEM. :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred:

    they seem odd.

I'm listening to 'Infectious hospital waste' at the moment

I'm fairly sure a minute ago the singer said "microscopic Asians"

that's gotta win some kind of award!

I don't know what they're sick with, but I do hope they feel better soon.

Demolition Hammer fucking kills. Their second album Epidemic of Violence is a masterpiece, and they ruled live at the last MDF. Anyone who does not see them at least once on the boat and claims they love old school death/thrash is sorely missing out. :shred:
