But then how will I meticulously plan which sets I'm going to see, just to fuck up that plan entirely once on the ship?!

It would be ‘bad’

Big multinational cruise company....can't be bothered to hire an IT guy to make their website more browser-friendly. TWO cheers for Royal!

Better yet, don't reveal the band until you see it. On the daily schedule have the 7 remaining bands labeled as question mark.
sara wrote:If we don't see an announcement tonight, there's 7 more weekdays before the cruise. That's one announcement per night.

And all joking aside, if I saw "?" on the schedule, I probably wouldn't even bother checking them out. I have something like 30 sets to see this year. I probably won't even make all of those, so it'd be hard to get me to take time to find out if I like some mystery band.

It's entirely possible we may get at least one 'cluster' announcement with 3 bands at once. That'll make the lineup fill up rather quickly.

If I recall correctly, there was only one batch announcement (I.e. three bands) last year, right?

Sailors, embarkation day is creeping up very quickly... get "P"syched! And if you are not sailing with us, we will shed a tear for you...

acidbasement wrote:Is shedding a tear part of the clue? A band that starts with "P" that has something to do with crying or being sad?
If it's Powerwolf I'll be crying with joy.

Persefone?
Pestilence?
Periphery?
Phoenix wrote:Ooh! I have some homework to do. I vaguely remember liking these guys? If only I could remember which album.
I hope it's not Psychostick. Perhaps Pagan's Mind? Or wait, is it perhaps time for Primordial?

I didn't mention them because I thought for sure they were on tour during the cruise but I can't seem to find any dates. I would be blown away if they got announced. Their shows are always crazy fun.

I just looked, and they have a gap from 1/28-3/11, so that could fit!
