As much as it sucks not to have Markus Vanhala onboard, we still have plenty of great melodeath options out there. Mors Principium Est and Scar Symmetry would make me very, VERY, happy.

This. They're not ruled out, but they're not exactly high on my list.
Yeah I was surprised that Markus wouldn't be on the boat this year, it would have been is 4th in a row lol. He's actually the one that told me they couldn't come :(.bodomdragon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 11:40 pmAs much as it sucks not to have Markus Vanhala onboard, we still have plenty of great melodeath options out there. I think all of the Sweden-based members are leaving Sweden, or at least that's what Christofer said on the boat in 2017.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Fri Sep 14, 2018 11:47 am Therion,Linnéa Vikström just played her last show and left due to burnout. She would have stayed and did 70k if they were on the boat.Christopher is leaving Sweden also ,so I doubt he would break up his relocation activities this year also.
Yeah, their sound was not great. I think Bodomdragon and I found the two places in the Rink and the Pyramid Lounge where it was *okay* and we had a grand old time. Otherwise people were kind of disappointed.alex_canada wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 6:47 pm Re: Phoenix
I thought I would love Scar Symmetry and was so hyped for 2017(?) but man I thought they sucked.
Why would people disagree with you? Everybody knows the band was at its best with Christian
You haven't talked to Stained Class, I see. He and a few other people I know think the band is better post Christian.
lolwut. Objectively wrong
S.T.'s freshly released new studio album is actually a cover of Cyco Miko's first album and it's full Punk Rock, so Shitrocked actually makes sense, if they want to play those songs.Godflesh wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 8:44 am"SUICIDAL TENDENCIES"bodomdragon wrote:Amazed by what Shiprocked just did. In your damn face, UMC.Well, since it seems a few of our bands of outlaws couldn't wait to draw their guns, we'll just go ahead and make #SOON be NOW... #giddyup
Here is your SRX Lineup Roundup!
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
WTF ARE THEY DOING ON THIS PIECE OF SHIT CRUISE, INSTEAD OF 70000TONS?
I actually find this a very suspicious schedule. Shows for the whole month until the 29th? To me it's the other way around, this makes them a very serious candidate for the boat. They can fly on the 30th and be there 24 hours before the boat sails, as many other bands do.Powerwolf - current tour finishes in Strasbourg on 29th Jan. A tight squeeze to get from there to 70k.
I'm sure they would be willing to do 70k without keyboards :) Certainly would not rule them out.
Why are you ruling this group out? Omnium, specifically, is on Full Metal Cruise and also just announced Nordic Metal Cruise, neither of which are in direct conflict of the timeframe for 70k and don't appear to themselves have any cruise exclusivity contracts.
They DO have exclusivity contracts. Confirmed by Omnium Gatherum themselves. They had planned on both but then FMC told them they couldn't.Fulorian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 11:03 amWhy are you ruling this group out? But... they can be on Nordic Metal Cruise? What?Phoenix wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 12:52 pmThey DO have exclusivity contracts. Confirmed by Omnium Gatherum themselves. It's all about contracts. If the 70k and the Full Metal Cruise have an aggrement that bands can't play both, but they don't have that same aggrement with the Nordic Metal Cruise, they can do those. I have no clue who has an aggrement with who, but I know that Markus (OG) told me directly that they couldn't do the 70k because of the Full Metal Cruise.Fulorian wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 1:07 pmBut... they can be on Nordic Metal Cruise? Knowing Megadave, I'd say yes. Even though its a loooong way off.Ethrivas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 2:04 pm Dunno if this rules out Megadeth, Testament, CoC, Anthrax, Devildriver, Doro, John 5, Armoured Saint and Beastö Blancö.
