Hopefully this isn't old news...
Independence of the Seas is getting a facelift in April 2018.

This sounds awesome but I hope it doesn't screw up the pool deck and/or make us switch boats. It could be good. It could be bad.
We'll see how it goes.

That would be AWESOME....and it's not as if 70K wouldn't be an incentive for them to do the same thing to the Indy.
BTW, that pic of the pool deck shows exactly how much work goes into converting the deck to our outdoor concert venue. It's a lot more work than I'd thought.
Speaking of Liberty, the people on that ship during Hurricane Harvey are about to get a 14-day cruise for the price of a 7-day. She had to divert to Miami since the Port of Galveston remains closed for the week.

I'm a firm believer in travel insurance. 2016 I ended up paying my own way home from Jamaica when my gallbladder exploded Saturday morning.

I'm guessing they are just removing the religious context from the space by calling it an "Escape Room" rather than a "chapel".

Am I the only person around here who considers a chapel an escape room already?!

Won't happen as long as the Independence continues to do Europe in the summer. For some reason RCCL won't install Freestyle Code machines on any ship that departs from other countries.
