Fun is not "O"ptional when you're having the time of your life onbroad The Original, The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise. Don't miss it, or else you'll be sorry!
As an MDM fan who has tried to get into UTA... they're not really MDM.slayergeek wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 11:13 am Metal-Archives has Unleash the Archers list as 'Power/Melodic Death Metal'
I listened to a few song and can detected nothing resembling 'Melodic Death Metal' in the least. Am I missing something, or is the entry a bit flawed. Would be interested to get an opinion of people who are fans of the band.
Thanks
Maybe the opening scream on General of the Dark Army but that's about it!slayergeek wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 11:13 am Metal-Archives has Unleash the Archers list as 'Power/Melodic Death Metal'

That could be interesting, wouldn't mind them. But my heart wishes so much for it to be Orphaned Land again
Razor has truly, succinctly and aptly expressed my feelings about Twilight Force. Is there no action that does not have an equal and accurate Razor reaction gif? I think not.
It's taken 5 years, but I guess they are big enough to swim in the adults pool now
Next band will be that Arabian metal band...
Nile is American as well. 3 from the USAcowboy71 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 3:36 pm Couple of statistical anomalies so far with the lineup:
- only 2 German bands (Accept and Subway to Sally). Some 70Ks have had as many as 12!
- Same for USA with only 2 (TBDM, Warbringer). Some years almost half the lineup has been American. Expect a higher proportion in the latter announcements as UMC start struggling to fill the lineup and get American bands that can do it at short notice
- Finland another under-represented currently with only Ensiferum.
- No repeats from 2017 yet. Expect 2 or 3. That don't usually get many repeats from 2-years-previous (2018 had 3). But there will be some. That was a pretty good year so hopefully it will be something I like
So to summarise, here are my predictions for the remaining 34-ish bands:
- 3 repeats from 70K 2017
- up to 8 German bands
- up to 5 Finnish bands
- up to 5 more Swedish bands
- up to 10 bands from the USA
- 1 or 2 more from South America
- 2 or 3 more female-fronted/symphonic bands
- 4 or 5 more thrash bands
- 2 or 3 more power metal bands
- 1 or 2 lighter or fringe bands (hard rock, industrial, etc)
- 5 more bands worthy of 60 minute sets, 1 more big band that gets 75 minute sets, the rest 45 minute setters.
a great power carries a great responsibility
Holy shit, I called one right! Obituary is fucking amazing live.Gratch wrote: Would love to see Obituary again.
Khemmis would be a great choice.
