Ha, that 's pretty cool. My flight's entertainment system had a nonworking headphone jack. Glad I loaded up my ipod with some netflix material ahead of time.Amalu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 6:56 pmVery nice announcement. One more band I have wanted to see in quite some time, but never have. Perfect!
About air travel: We have flown into the US from Switzerland on Saturday, no issue at all.
Oh and my on board entertainment system on the aircraft (Aer Lingus A330) had Krisiun as an option. I was a bit surprised about that.
That'd be interesting. I'm pretty sure the vocalist/bassist from Insomnium is "in" that band.. and i don't think they have any tour dates setup yet?
I got a chuckle out of that. I guess Royal is now following in Carnival's footsteps, as they adopted the concept well over a year ago. In Carnival's case, unless you have Priority boarding, you aren't even allowed inside the terminal before your requested arrival time, and they allocate the time-slots first-come, first-served and block slots out after they fill up.
EVERYONE will be a little upset if they have to wait until 11:30. I don't think I've ever gotten to port later than 11.
I don’t get that. I’ve never gotten to port before noon.
Because most people are getting bounced from their hotels by 11 anyway, and once you're on board you have access to free food and socially acceptable drinking.

Off topic, but you should stab your medical provider. That's like diagnosing a stroke with a sledgehammer. That's -not- how celiac disease is supposed to be diagnosed.Phoenix wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:18 am
Not exactly: https://celiac.org/about-celiac-disease ... screening/ Going through the gluten challenge is the more accurate way of testing for it, is my understanding.
Andy doesn't have to prove you wrong - I can!
I’m guessing we get at least one 3-fer in the last batch of announcements.
Had at least one every year for the last 3 years in the final ten. It's a fairly safe bet it will happen again :)
Someone call the burns unit!
This is one of many reasons I think some veterans are bailing. It's really fucking annoying that they have thousands of our dollars and can't even announce the lineup in a reasonable time. The bands have to be booked many months in advance. Bigger bands tour, smaller bands have jobs and they all have to make their travel plans. I really don't get the holding on to the announcement thing at all when it's sold out? Maybe one band at the end for a surprise, but not 9 or 10 bands with 10 days to go.
Same thing with Ghoul a couple of years ago
I wonder if any interviewer has ever asked the question of the skipper "Why, when you have 12 months between cruises, do you often leave booking 10+ bands to the final days/weeks?"
