Me too!!! I'm TOTALLY waiting for Epica and Sonata Arctica!! But also for Finntroll. I can't wait to see who else gets on the lineup =D

Honesty, I have no idea what I am going to do when I get to MExico. I think I still have time to think about it. For now, my main interest is to get the money to get to Miami  I almost forgot how to get from the airport to the Cruise port u.u" Still haven't figured that out >.<

Ironically enough those are 3 of the bands I don't want to see. Too "goody two shoes" sounding for me.

Different strokes for different folks. I want more old school thrash and death metal :deathmetal:

The room is just for passing out!! I'll probably spend about 5 hours a night in there tops.. if I'm paying this much for a festival/cruise, I'm going to milk it for everything it's worth. Plus, we'll be partying too.

yeah, me too - I got the cabin, now I have to figure out everything else. I did a little research on the Mayan temples on Cozumel and it turns out that it's not worth the visit. I think the best bet for the day will be bar hopping, sunbathing, shopping, snorkeling. The average temp in January is 70 degrees, and cold at night - FYI.

KevinP - I think we can agree on 1 thing: SAXON ROCKS!!! :shred:

When I went to Cozumel a few years ago it wasn't anything worth venturing off the ship for IMNSHO. We took a long cab ride over to Chumkanaba (sp) to see people swim with dolphins, ate at Senor Frogs right outside the ship and then got back onto the ship and realized we could have saved all that $$$ and just relaxed on the ship.

YMMV, bu unless some major event is taking place off the ship, I'm not going to bother to leave.

My Metal-Bride (Nilay) and I will occasionally be in 5589 - chosen for proximity to Schooner Bar... However, looks as if the bulk of you are down in the bilges (Deck 2-3) Maybe we'll have to switch decks for party proximity...

Incidentally, we just caught Sonata at House of Blues in LA on April 24, superb show, although Nilay liked Mutiny Within (opener) better I believe. I will say this; Tony Kakko has some killer pipes, and is likely insane...

Yeah sonata puts on a pretty good show (sometimes).
I've seen them a handful of times (maybe 4?) and their show in '05 was the best one. Surprisingly, their set at the Tuska festival in Helsinki was pretty bad. Haven't seen the newest album live though, so we'll see how they are on the cruise!!

I just checked our booking and its Category L which is Deck 4.

Its the first Deck with the Centrum (multi story atrium type thingy) shown and has its own dining room (Starlight)

We're way in the interior of the ship more towards what I guess is the front of the boat so pretty far from the staircases/elevator. Plus there are four of us in the room so we'll for sure be HELLA crowded! Not that we'll be spending too much time in there...

I am trying to upgrade and actually transfer out of my cabin and make my current cabinmate the lead passenger of the 2605 cabin. I am going to get one with a mate and hope it is a nicer room with a ocean view. I would love a balcony, my own puking area would be grand.

okay, time to give you a hard time Tom/Scott (and anyone else who talks about puking!) - what is with all this puking?!   Have you not (after presumably mega years of partying ) either learned how to:
    1. hold your liquor? or
    2. know when to stop???
Sorry, just giving you a hard time.   I stopped puking for the most part when I gave up kamikazis in college (vodka w/Rose's lime juice)
    So, here are my rules....
    1. don't mix beer and liquor
    2. don't do shots!!! (instant killer  )

and btw, my cabinmate (awesome woman I met at Wacken last summer) and I are in 6055
