..."but the not-quite-but-almost-deep-purple are still available!"
Definitely not looking good.
Very true...
They came back about 15 minutes into booking ,my guess is since they were only 12 of them people locked them up for 15 minutes but not everyone went though. They were there for about a hour afterwards then sold out.
I got mine about 3 hours ago but the price is wrong. They are billing me $200 more per person than what the website says and my confirmation form yesterday specifies. Waiting on them to send me a new invoice or call me back.
Thanks for the tip - I don't expect we'll see ours until tomorrow, but now I know to make sure it's right. Hopefully that resolves itself!
What category did you order ?I suspected that J3 Quad ($1133)was incorrect,it doesn’t make sense that it was cheaper than a 1B Quad($1166).The room is 100 square feet bigger with a much better set up.
That is the one. We will see what happens.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:15 pmWhat category did you order ?I suspected that J3 Quad ($1133)was incorrect,it doesn’t make sense that it was cheaper than a 1B Quad($1166).The room is 100 square feet bigger with a much better set up.
Yeah that was a mistake, that is a Junior Balcony Suite hence the “J” ,they just didn’t name it right and in the haste to figure things out this year they put the wrong price in.mbob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:19 pmThat is the one. Regardless of the mistake...I am going by the price that was listed when I clicked submit on my booking form, the price that is still listed on the site and the price that was confirmed to me in my confirmation email yesterday.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:33 pmYeah that was a mistake, that is a Junior Balcony Suite hence the “J” ,they just didn’t name it right and in the haste to figure things out this year they put the wrong price in.
70k I still waiting on the Kamelot cancellation explanation from 2014 cruise ,If it was just you it wouldn’t be a big deal but the minimum lost for this mistake is $38,080 and they either have to honor everyone or no one.The line up will suffer if they honor the mistake, and all you have is a booking request.mbob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:37 pmRegardless of the mistake...I am going by the price that was listed when I clicked submit on my booking form, the price that is still listed on the site and the price that was confirmed to me in my confirmation email yesterday.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 1:33 pmYeah that was a mistake, that is a Junior Balcony Suite hence the “J” ,they just didn’t name it right and in the haste to figure things out this year they put the wrong price in.
If it was a mistake then I should have been notified with an explanation...instead I received an invoice with the wrong prices.
I spoke to 70K and they are looking in to this so I am waiting to hear back or receive a corrected invoice.
At this moment we are assuming the original price was a mistake. They have been notified and acknowledged the price was originally confirmed to me and the price that was invoiced is different. I was not led to believe the original price was a mistake when I was speaking with 70K. All I know is they were going to look into it. As of now I have not been notified which price is correct or what the resolution is.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 2:01 pm 70k I still waiting on the Kamelot cancellation explanation from 2014 cruise ,If it was just you it wouldn’t be a big deal but the minimum lost for this mistake is $38,080 and they either have to honor everyone or no one.The line up will suffer if they honor the mistake, and all you have is a booking request.
Assume no more the price is now $1,333 for a J3 Quadmbob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 2:08 pmAt this moment we are assuming the original price was a mistake. We booked the same category but haven't gotten our invoice yet. I suspect they're shitting bricks, trying to figure out how to fix that mistake. J3 is fully sold out with 56 cabins. If they were counting on making $800 more than they publicized per cabin, that's 50 grand or so that they'd be out. On the other hand, if they try to make us pay the higher amount, they get over two hundred really pissed off cruisers. It's a lose-lose situation for 70k. Eagerly waiting to see what they decide to do.
They've been pissing off cruisers one way or another for years. I cannot see them honoring the incorrect pricing. As mentioned they will probably offer credit to use on broad or something of the like by way of compensation.acidbasement wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 7:39 pmWe booked the same category but haven't gotten our invoice yet. 70K has resolved disputes in my family's favour before. This cruise depends a lot on the loyalty of its repeat customers. I'm not sure if this situation meets the legal definition of false advertising, but it definitely looks like it, and false advertising is serious enough that they can't ignore it, however they decide to manage it.
Right now I imagine they are trying to figure things out ,also some people could have already slipped though and paid because it would have looked like everything was okay. This is a lot of money, the price change on the website to me indicates they suspect some people will leave the category if they cancel their requests. And once again it is only a booking request.I imagine that about $50,000 would result in some noticeable change on the cruise however, you would need to add $16 to everybody’s surcharge.acidbasement wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 7:58 pm70K has resolved disputes in my family's favour before. UMC isn’t a Canadian company.acidbasement wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 8:14 pm I guarantee you that they have hundreds of thousands in a just-in-case fund. This won't affect this year's cruise.
Checking Canadian law, it's bait and switch (illegal) if they don't honour the quoted price.
