I am wondering if they are going to throw us off at 7-8 am again. That sucked so much. We went back to the hotel in Coral Gables and slept until 5!

That really had SUCKED being thrown off the boat at 8:00 am like they did. That was just rude.

I am not at the Holiday Inn but at the Marriott Marquis just 5 blocks away.
I'm sure I will see you all at the Bayside market place.

This past July my friends and I took a cab from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the Port of Miami. It was $90 one way. We were flying Southwest airlines into Ft. Lauderdale. Southwest bought Airtran so eventually they will fly into Miami but I don't think it will be by January. This time we are renting a car to drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami, which is about half the price of the cab drive.

This was just a hair over $20 to get to Miami with a shared ride. I flew into Ft. Lauderdale too and will probably do it again.

We are staying at the Clay hotel as Kevin, as it's much cheaper than the Holiday Inn and in a cooler area. We will be there saturday and sunday before the cruise and then the friday after :)

We booked our hotel and flight last week. Wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn Beachfront but that wasn't available.

We now arrive Friday before the cruise and we stay at the RIU Hotel. And we will leave on Monday after the cruise. So i can celibrate my birthday on Sunday in Miami.

We got a good deal on the flight 438 euro roundtrip, via Philadelphia.

    Yes, 37th birthday.

We wanted to return on Sunday, but I said no way I'm going to spend my birthday on a plain. So Miami it will be.

stated in south beach for 2011 and that was rediculis.(two different hotels)
Holiday inn port of Miami seemed like a better option for 2012.

I am crazy enough to have booked a flight back home the afternoon after getting off the cruise. Figure I will fly home and then sleep all weekend.

My birthday is on January 28th, so this time I'll have to celebrate it in Miami after the cruise. Last year (ha!), as we were herded off the ship so early on Friday, I started my birthday celebrations on Thursday at 5 PM (when it was actually midnight already in Finland, so I just turned my clock back to EEST  ).

Surprisingly, I don't remember much of the last night on broad. :stagger:

Still haven't booked my flights or hotel for January. I'm not sure how busy January will be at work, so have to wait a while longer. My boss promised I could take at least a week and a half off, but it's still unclear whether I get to take the extra days before the cruise or after it.

We're staying at the Winter Haven Hotel on Ocean & 14th Friday, Saturday & Sunday before the cruise, as we did last year. South Beach is awesome.

We're flying out Sunday after the cruise, so probably going to look for something close to the airport.

Are there any plans for after the cruise? Rock & Roll Pizza in Ft. Lauderdale? We'll need to rent a car, if that's the case.

Looks like most people are arriving on Saturday or Sunday, and leaving on the following Saturday? I was thinking I would be coming in the Friday before, and leaving the Monday after, but I may change that up. Hmmm... no hockey games in the area or surrounding states, maybe I'll go up to Orlando for a day to check out something I missed when I was living there, could hit some casinos along the coast, wonder if there are any shows in the area that I'd be interested in. Guess I'd better start figuring it out.
Never take anything I say seriously.

I'm coming in on the Sunday and staying at the Holiday Inn - Port of Miami, but I'm not leaving until the Sunday after the cruise. Still looking for a hotel on the Fri and Sat nights, probably over at South Beach :stagger:

I've booked for the four of us to stay on Sunday night at the Holiday inn at the port. I don't care if it costs more, it's walking distance from both the pre-party and the boat itself.

We're staying at the Holiday Inn at the port on Sunday night. Used Priority Club points and got a room for $60.
Still not sure about coming into town on Saturday or Sunday. Definitely not going to miss (or show up very late to) the pre-party.
