It really does write it's own genius doesn't it. Yes, for not spotting it sooner, the rest of us should really turn in our Dio cards

mob rules is a great tune if not a little short. good tempo, a couple sweet spots for headbanging .... would need a an opening E5150 added would make the length right , but may be a little to long for an opener and a little slow. it would give almost 3 minutes to get into place, but is almost as long as mob rules.

It would also be nice to get together early and work out some type of routine .......... :givebeer:

Close the city and tell the people
    That something's coming to call
Death and darkness are rushing forward
To stamp light from the wall!

    Oh! You've nothing to say
    They'll drag you away!
    If you listen to fools,
The mob rules, the mob rules

Kill the spirit and you'll be blinded
The end is always the same
Play with fire, you'll burn your finger
And you'll get hold of a flame, oh!

    It's over, it's done
    The end is begun
    If you listen to fools,
    The mob rules
    You've nothing to say
    Oh, They're breaking away
    If you listen to fools

Break the circle and stop the movement
The wheel is thrown to the ground
Just remember it might stop rolling
And take you right back around!

    You're all fools!
    The Mob Rules! :shred:

No, apparently his GF is a nutritionist or something and he has dropped significant weight.

I'm bringing my netbook and some USB powered speakers.... unless security throws a fit, it shouldn't be too hard to set it up in the terminal (that is where we are doing this, yes?).

..... and definitely we are doing MOB RULES!

LOL! Well I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes...but I just thought a flash MOB needed MOB RULES, plus I thought we settled on that one a few weeks ago, but really either is fine.... MOB RULES is just a little more "peppy".

I don't have time to do it myself but, I suggest someone take the helm and break the song up into 15 or 30 second intervals queued by lyrics or verse/chorus riff changes / solos and insert moves for ppl to do on those queues. I know that part near the beginning where Dio screams 'Ohhhh Come ON!' would be a great time for everyone in the mob to do 'something' in synch. Maybe break it up into those intervals and post a template that ppl can weigh in on via the forum here.

    Something like this?:

    0:00 - Opening Riff -
0:07 - (for example) Come ON! - Everyone spin around and then run 3 steps towards the sound source waving the non-participants over
    0:15 - Close the city -
    0:30 - You've nothing to say -
    0:40 - Fools -
    0:55 - Verse 2 - Kill the spirit -
    1:09 - It's over it's done -
    1:20 - Guitar solo pt 1 -
    1:33 - Guitar solo pt 2 -
    1:48 - Guitar solo pt 3 -
    2:00 - You've nothing to say -
    2:10 - Verse 3 - Break the circle -
    2:30 - You're all fools! -
    2:45 - Fading solo -
    3:00 - Song totally fading -

Do ya want to add E5150 at the beginning for another almost 3 minutes?

    Maybe if we'd planned earlier?

Let's do a major flash mob for round 2 in 2012!!
So far at least, 2011, 2012 & 2015 were enough for me

Lots of us aren't attending pre-party. Try and flesh it out here as much as possible (plz?) :D

That sounds good..... How about this..... I can print out some "flash cards" for our flash mob. I'll put stuff like 'AIR GUITAR' .... then everyone will do some air guitar solos.... and 'HEAD BANG' ...everyone starts headbanging... put some of the main words of the lyrics for everyone to follow along.

    Something like that?

    2 things:

    A) let's clarify place and time - especially the time. I see in one post that Deb's limo arrives at noon, but I see in another that it's LEAVING at noon.

    B) OK so I got all the lyrics printed out LANDSCAPE and in very big fonts.

Then I was thinking (and I want to keep as simple as possible) I'd have:
one card indicating for everyone to HEADBANG and throw up the DEVIL HORNS
a second card indicating for everyone to PLAY AIR GUITAR

I've been listening to the song all day and basically there is something for everyone to do the entire time:

    Intro: headbanging/horns :headbanger:
    1st verse: singing :metalguy:
    more headbanging/horns :headbanger:
    2nd verse: singing :metalguy:
    solos: air guitar :shred:
    3rd verse: singing :metalguy:
    fade out: headbanging/horns :headbanger:

I've no idea about place but yes, please, make it for 1 pm or even 1:30 (unless ppl feel that's too late). My plane lands at 12:09 so 12:30 would be unlikely or I'd arrive just as it's finishing lol. That would suck.
