I posted this months ago...but want to remind everyone as we get closer to the date......please read below!!!!!

Boarding:
Our sailing time is 5PM. Boarding will start at 12PM on January 24, 2011. Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are

requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior

to the sailing time. Please note: All guests must be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you will not be permitted to sail. In other words, you have to be

on the ship by 3.30PM!!!!!!!!!

I think this should been have closer to like 10days before - infact i think about a week or 2 before, there should be a "check list - dont forget these items" on the forums to help everyone out!!

It seems like the US has gotten retardley paranoid recently and even more so than usual.
If you tried bring this crap in to Europe you'd probably get laughed about.
Is everyone geting treated with the policy of Guilty until proven innocent?
This festival would have been so much easier to run in Europe.
At this stage it just seems like a fucking task to even get on he boat.
Think i'll stick to metal cruises in Sweden from now on after this.
No offense but they cost less.It's neaerer for me,Flights are cheaper and i don't have to do a million things just to get onto a fucking boat

Just to clear things up we living in the USA are subject to full body scans they are called xrays and possibly full body pat downs. Ireland isnt prone to getting planes flown into there buildings or packages on cargo planes with explosives. Ireland basically stay neutral we just cant keep our noses out of things. Believe me i hate the crap the tsa imposes but id rather be safe then sorry. As far as complaining about what you have to go through to go on the cruise i dont care if im from here there or mars its gonna be worth it

Thanks for the reminder Deb. I would've totally been screwed without that lil' tidbit. I wouldn't worry too much about the body scans/xrays. I think the media out here made it up to be much more of an issue than it actually is. Hell, I remember going through one of those full body scanners in London something like 4 years ago. I fly a lot so I'm used to going through machines by now, just be very cautious of what you are carrying with you. Also, I have no clue what customs is like for you coming in from other countries. I'm sure that line will be a pain in the ass after a long flight. Sorry folks, our government tends to overreact to everything...

I thought the ESTA thing was unnecessary and the damned website was most likely the slowest I've ever been to. Do they really think someone would answer "yes" to questions like "were you a part of German nazi regime during WW2", "are you going to smuggle guns/explosives to the US" or "will you be killing anyone while in the US"?

Just a recap so that the questions here are answered...

You will be able to do the online check-in once you have received your Boarding Passes, which will be sent out around Christmas!

Boarding Passes will be E-Tickets, and will be issued no later than 4 to 6 weeks prior to our departure date.

The Email that includes your Boarding Passes will also have required details for doing the online check-in, which will be done on Royal Caribbean's website.
