Preparty Miami - Page 5

I just wanted to get a clarification. Will anybody going to Nicko's Rock n Roll Ribs for Lunch the day before? I think that a ton will be going for that night. We were planning on getting a good night sleep the night before the cruise. We wanted to save our energy for the cruise. Just asking????

It's in the plans, but nothing's chiseled in stone yet. I hope so though.

from reading up on it the place is pretty small, so not sure how many are going (for sure).....I changed my mind about the place personally....like you said...nothing in stone just yet :o)

Hubby and I are taking the red eye from Seattle Friday night at 10:30, and arrive in Miami Saturday morning at 7 a.m. We're staying on South beach Saturday and Sunday to experience the "South Beach night life." I can imagine it's just a bunch of nightclubs with the same beat pounding into your head all night. LOL

Actually, mostly staying there for the sandy warm beach and sun. We're going to eat the famous rock crab at Joe's Crab Shack and find a kickass Cuban restaurant as well.

Yeah...pretty much band or no band.....I think the Culture Room will suffice...not sure how everyone else feels on the subject....we just need an intial meeting place!!!...I have a feeling I will be meeting quite a few at the airport upon arrival! ....hell yeah!.....(just have a driver waiting for me with my last name written on cardboard, looking for me k? ....that would be great....thx)

Lucky you, all of you getting to fly right in. I have to drive from Orlando, which is just far enough to make flying pointless, but driving a bitch.

consider yourself LUCKY! we dutch are complaining when we have to move from Rotterdam to Groningen which is a 3 hour drive!

We will all get a meeting place I'm sure... i need to do my Miami research!!! Sweeeeet cruuuuiiissseeee ...... This week off will be my first week off for over a year and a half (i've been taking my days here and there, 1, 2 , or 3 at a time but have not taken off a full week this year)...

SUNDAY NIGHT IS when everyone will be able to most likely meet up because that's the night everyone will arrive for the cruise the nexy day. once you guys figure this out for sunday post another topic about when and where and people will show up!

Sorry debb, but the culture room in FT.Laud. is not open at any time. It´s more a concert and festival location.

I don`t know if it´s open on sunday. Let`s check the calender of it.

As for Deb's question about the Culture Room, yes, that's what I'm cooking up. I also have a good idea for a post party idea as well, but it's still a work in progress. If it all works out the way I envision it, it'll be quite a time.

whazz up with the TRANSIT LOUNGE ? a friend told me that there are playing Live Rock Bands and they have a "normal Area" (not NO GO Area) ?!

I was just thinking there is another option for a hotel if a pre/post party happens at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale.

This hotel is literally right next door to the Culture Room, so you could stumble to and from a show. And there is a pretty good bar in the same complex as the Culture Room as well (The Wayward Sailor). Can't vouch for how great the hotel is... i've only been in a room once years ago when some friends and I were crammed in the bathroom smoking up with God Forbid.

Only thing that sucks would be getting to the port in the morning (45 min. to an hour depending on traffic).

Depending on how it all plays out I might look into getting a room here one of those nights, as we live about 2 hours north of Miami and might not feel like driving all the way home only to drive back down the next day.

That, or you can just crash at my house again. Considering that we're going to the same place the next day, it makes the most sense.

As for the question about the Transit Lounge? Never heard of it to be honest, but from what I've seen on their MySpace page, I wouldn't want to. Looks like a smoky dive full of trendy hipsters and Latin music enthusiasts. Doesn't seem like the kind of place that hosts any Rock, much less Metal, bands.

Oh oh , i saw it also on MY SPACE now, doesn`t look so good. In the Eventkalender from Culture house is nothing confirmed for that time , do you think that the bar is open then ? Maybe it`s possible to make a deal with the manager ?!
