So you don't watch bands you don't know at all when you go to festivals?! You just go for the bands you already know? I mean, of course it's the bands that I already know and love that make me go to a particular festival instead of another, but I always check out at least a few that sound interesting or that people have recommended and I thought that was what everybody does... For me it's one of the best thing about going to festivals: discovering new bands :)

I check out bands before I see them live and if they're good I'll catch their show.

All the people with scores already at 23/56 and stuff are crazy. I think I saw 26 full sets last year and had absolutely zero time for socializing and stuff.

Like I said, I'm already "worried" if there are two or three more bands added that I really, really want to see for the sake of sacrificing drinking/socializing/sleep/whatever (and I slept maybe 16 hours total last cruise). Pretty good problem to have though, eh? :cool:

EDIT: I guess I'm roughly at 18/56 right now judging by that standard, but I could easily skip Children of Bodom and only go to one Virgin Steele set. I hope when all's said and done, I'm around 22/80. . .

Some people say they won't go see a band but then decide to check them out anyways. I was pretty generous with mine and wound up with 30 something because I might go watch a band like Cannibal Corpse for a few songs.

I all depends on who's playing at what time, my ranking is just an idea of what I would like to see if I can. Plus don't think many (if any) more bands I like will be added, I'm just hoping there aren't too many double up/overlaps on the ones I really, REALLY want to see, that would suck.

^^^^ ok - I'll revise...(hehe - don't think the below would be possible of course - but if I could clone myself an evil twin or three - it could actually be pretty cool I think. Not too far off this thought was the thread prior to the cruise where several of us (Including me) vowed to catch at least part of one set of each band - *cough* - nope, didn't happen!! Btw - did ANYONE manage to do that? I think I saw around 24 of the 40 bands (although about 8 were doubles)

Definitely intend to see all bands on board. I don't hate any of them so even if some are less interesting for me, id like to give them a chance. After all that's how i became a fan of many of my current favorites... :beerhorns:

With Venom and Exciter I think I am already at Critical Mass for time, not sure how much time I will have for stuff that isn't shows or being sea sick. Too many bands I haven't seen yet on this years cruise. I think I should pack some...
