Hehe, I guess it's an Australian expression then :) This semester's results are posted online tomorrow. We have colleges too but you wouldn't really use them interchangeably, you'd only say college if it was called a college. "Uni" is used more than "university" in conversation. You'd be more likely to say "I'm going to uni today" than "i'm going to university today".

i can say i'm very glad to have graduated long ago! i went to a university, and still called it college - that's very U.S. i think , we say college a lot even when we go to university! stupid americans!

however i did graduate with a 4.0. my uni results were great, LOL. still so glad to be done! hope you do awesome!!!

Ron Santo finally made the Hall of Fame!!!!

Thats a huge reason for rejoicing especially here in Chicago. He had a Hall of Famer in every sense of the word. Played his whole career with Diabetes too and raised like $40 for JDF after his career

Its sad he didnt make while alive but at least hes finally in now.

We all had a few drinks in his honor tonight.

RIP and congrats to Ronnie!!!

The way I understand it, in the US a college is more pointed towards a specific field, such as Engineering (though I don't know how specific it goes) and a University is more or less a collection of colleges. Makes sense to me as with Universities from my experience, you end up seeing within them the X College of Engineering, the Y College of Business, etc.

You don't seem sensitive about your weight, so hopefully I can say this and not come across wrong... when you carry a good deal of weight, but are fairly active, your body will build muscle just based on your body weight (this technically applies for everybody, but is very much less noticeable for lighter people). As the muscle develops you burn more calories doing the same activities (though eventually plateaus are reached).
So, just stay active, and have fun.

dude im not sensitive about my weight at all infact its made me somewhat of an internet celebrity so its all good. but i remember i use to be 420 and it was 351. i think i got a licence i have been more active and getting things done but its a good feeling there are over 500 band shirts in my collection and so many i cnat wear cause im too big id like to change that i got some gems in there

Clea finishes Year 6 today (her graduation tonight) and my degree is officially over. I think I just feel a bit strange and scared about the next stages.

just got my 5 year anniversary award at work - wondering if i should go with the steel watch or the silver and garnet ring. first time i've hit the 5 year mark anywhere! even got a hand-written card from our president, w00t!
