I'm excited... REALLY excited! If the world ends the day after it opens, my ONLY lament will be that part 2 wasn't finished yet!

First film - 4 times at the cinema
Second film - 3 times
Third film - 3 times
I like giving my money away and spending hours in small dark rooms

I agree completely Bill. Last 3D I saw was Avatar and it was phenomenal

I did see Avatar in 3D at an IMAX. While I thought the 3D was spectacular, I thought the movie was very formulaic and boring.
This topic did remind me of one of the funniest things. Went to see Fellowship of the Ring in a theater, and during the "scare" part where Bilbo morphs and reaches out for the ring, the HUGE black man, built like an NFL lineman, screamed like an 8 year-old girl. I swear, I was laughing so hard, I was crying. I missed like 15 minutes of the movie because I was trying to keep the laughter in, and it just made things worse. I was mostly silent, but just shaking and crying with laughter. People all up and down the row were wondering why their seats were vibrating. Oh, it's still so funny to me when I think about it.

I remember I time when I didn't understand how someone would pay multiple times for the same movie - - - and then came LOTR
mm, if they would keep it going, I would keep going...

gnoff wrote:I should start a petition "keep all 3 extended edition LOTR films going for weeks in the theater before Bilbo starts"

one of my buddy's Dad absolutely loves those movies, and a couple years ago this theater outside Philadelphia had a father's day showing of all 3 extended editions back to back... so he brought his dad to that... that is SO much time in the theater for 1 day haha, craziness!

That sounds like a lot of fun. Tried it before but only got through two before having to take a break.

Obviously. And not just every thread, but after just about every one of your posts.
