Thank you gnoff!!![]()
Ok. This one is now on my radar. The timing of this is better than Tuska since I end up having to take the first two weeks of July off for automotive plant's shutdown most every year. I wouldn't have to use any extra vacation days to do this. I'll keep an eye on the lineup, but seeing Manowar in a festival setting seems pretty sweet.
Any idea on what some good accommodations for this festival would be?
We stayed in a hotel in the city center, many bands were staying there as well. It was a half an hour walk to the festival area. Now I don't rememeber the name of the hotel, but I can look it up for you if you want. We got a good price too :)

Looking forward to see what bands other than Amon Amarth will be there

are you going to wear your leather pants?
No plans of yet, could be interesting that far north and in MArch to wear them on the way there and back, since it might be really cold

I'm actually pretty happy with this announcement. Chris Cornell is a good performer.

Not sure, but I would guess not until April at least.
Still trying to convince my mate to go so I can stay at his sister's place

Arrested Development was Bomb-Ass and soon will be again with the new movie!

This site:
http://www.excits.se/sweden-rock-festival_.html
Seems to sell "all in packages"
I've never used it myself and can not tell you how good or safe it is, but it was linked from the official SRF page, so "should" be OK
Example text:
As Sweden Rocks Official Partner provides eXcits worldwide unique hotel package that includes 4-day tickets, accommodation and transfers. Choose from several different hotels.
They seem also to have only "accomodation" only if that is preferable
