Definitely had a welcome back to New Hampshire moment today. :lol:

Was at a Chinese restaurant completely owned and operated by white people. Very authentic. :roll:

Had some biers at the bar and lots of townies walked in. I was out-aged by the youngest guy by at least 30 years and I think the oldest guy was in his 80s. They were loud, obnoxious, vulgar, and had great accents. Even heard the ol' "Fer chrissakes" and the "So I sez to da guy." Every person that walked in seemed to know everyone else in the bar. In typical New Hampshire fashion, one of the guys then started discussing politics and started spouting some bullshit but then decided to go off on an anti-religion rant that was music to my ears. Thankfully I escaped as one of the really old guys turned the TV to Fox News. One political advertisement and I knew it was my time to leave. Would've probably gotten into a huge argument if I stayed too much longer. :lol:

Been Christmas shopping all day (mainly at the big Macy's store and it has been awesome fun (bought stuff for moi too!)
Went to a bar nearby to get a beer for a much needed break from the crowd madness - no beer specials but $5 martinis! :shock:

The raspberry chocolate one was sinfully delicious beyond words (I'm mainly a cheap beer drinker so this was a treat!)

Yes I do! That and the two I had yesterday are 3 of probably only around a dozen martinis I think I've had in my life - not because I don't like them - it's just that they make me too loopy too fast and I'd never make it to my preferred "last one to leave the party" routine.

Speaking of which - I got a major chuckle out of Libertine69's drunk post about wanting to carry a bottle of rum around onbroad that he could swig from at will and not have to wait for the waiters/bartenders. Omg - that would be the ultimate kiss of death for me - I'd be passed out too early and would miss a bunch of bands and karaoke!!! No way, no how am I gonna let *that* happen. Reminds me of something else - I heard about some guys who went to some bar before the pre-party that had some kind of "all you can drink for an hour" for like $20-$25...apparently once the shots came out - that was it and needless to say they missed the awesome pre-party! Pretty dumb if you ask me. :beerwink:

Yeah, getting too wasted to the point where you don't really fuction is definitely not in my plans: Hm... I've only tried about 4 different martini types. Haven't like most though those blueberry ones and the mint chocolate one were delicious! *drool*

And Kate and Laura, I probably wouldn't consider most of those "martinis" as real martinis. They probably just call them that because it sounds "classy" and is served in a martini glass. That said, the holidays usually give you a chance at some new flavors like eggnog, pumpkin spice, chocolate, etc.

I probably made my own "martini" a couple of days ago, since I was drinking pumpkin spice with whipped cream vodka.

it is! my mom always has it and mixes it with pineapple juice and some red stuff (grenadine maybe, i forgot) and makes this drink called a pineapple upside down cake...damn is it good.
