Stil playing fallout new vegas at the moment.Seems more fun than Fallout 3 actually.
I've stopped bothering to use guns now as i have never bothered geting the different types of ammo i found the most efective way to kill people is by bashing them all to death with a big iron bar with a piece of cement attached to it.

For some reason, while I thoroughly enjoyed Fallout 3, I just could not get into New Vegas. I let a buddy borrow it, and listening to him talk about it makes me want to fire it up again. I do love that weapon though. I always gave it to my companions because I was sick of them using up all my ammo.

I'm a big puss too, but it's just fucking awesome... This one time, after clearing the sewers I actually cornered myself in my room and began chatting with a friend for like two hours until I calmed down!!

Btw, I never had that problem with Fallout 3, but then again, I played it in my PC, which is an I5, so yeah :beerwink:

New Vegas ain't as good as Fallout 3. I mean the storyline is just as good, but they didn't develop it that much. Not that they had the time to do it anyways, I think it's because NV was released pretty soon after Fallout 3.

The bad thing about New Vegas were the sidequests though, not that many, not that good, but I haven't played any New Vegas DLC, while I first played Fallout 3 with all the expansions and such.

Btw, just finished with Rage... I can't believe they wasted all the potential that game had!!! It could have been much longer, and have a much more elaborate main quest, along with more varied or interesting sidequests. I mean the racing part was really easy, and got dull after a while, same with exploring the wasteland. And while the combat system was pretty awesome, but it was also incredibly easy (I played it in nightmare, so yah), it was always the same drill, blast the mutants (and the Jackal retards... those were a hoot) with the shotgun, shoot the rest with a machinegun, take cover if you're being shot and are afraid of dying.

This game also had lots of potential for some RPG aspects, like being able to make choices, but noooooooo the guys at Bethesda made it pretty much linear, with sidequests (such as missing persons one, or covering as a sniper) only good for making money or getting some kind of useless crap, and which didn't affect the main storyline at all (Racing for your Cuprino/other car thingy not being quite the exception).

Okay, I realize I'm bitching too much about just another stupid game, so PLEASE, someone give me a lengthy, challenging game (preferrably shooter/Rpg), with a nice storyline and a shitload of sidequests (Note: I'm not a big fan of swords and magic, at least not anymore)
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy it on a daily basis

My biggest beef with Fallout: New Vegas is that I wasn't able to complete the NCR quest line because of some ridiculous game breaking bug where after killing the guy who tries to assasinate the president nothing happens and the president just remains on the stage and the quest is not completable. Fuck that game. Though I did have fun playing it up till that point. Skyrim is so much better though despite lacking the humor of Fallout.

Really? Shit, Skyrim is one of the glitchiest games I've ever played. So many quests get glitched and a lot of the dialogue doesn't follow with things that are happening in the world. Not to mention the incredible lag and choppiness that happens at random times.

A lot of good metal songs on it and quite funny dialogue.
Came play is kinda mediocre though. Not worth the money in that sense.

It has typical action hack and slash gameplay with very unique RTS elements with some stunt driving elements thrown in. But the exploring the world and the patented Tim Schafer humor is worth the price of purchase. Support metal in other industries whenever you can, or there might not be a next time.

I think the game is a blast in a creative imaginative aspect and in a game play aspect.

Oh I've had my share of broken quests and bugginess in Skyrim. I mean its just been a more fun experience for me. Plus the NCR quest is a main quest line so that bug just pissed me off to no end.

A friend of mine who plays World of Warcraft says he is quitting to play The Old Republic. Said playing the beta was the most fun he has had with a video game in a long time.

Makes sense. I couldn't really get into the Fallout games. I really don't like the way you have to use the VATS to get past certain parts because they're impossible without it. I don't want to cue up attacks and watch them happen.

There are a lot of really tough things out there, I guess it depends on your weapons and tactics, I duck behind cover a lot and use multiple weapons depending on the range of the foe.

Oh, well I started wandering around and I got my ass kicked by everything. Maybe I'm just really bad at that game

There are a lot of really tough things out there, I guess it depends on your weapons and tactics, I duck behind cover a lot and use multiple weapons depending on the range of the foe.

My tactic is usually run at the enemy with a 2 hand melee weapon. If that doesn't work i nuke them or keep throwing grenades till they are all dead.
VATS are only handy when i am too lazy to aim.

I gave the game a 83, my closing comments were

Because you cannot read dutch, I will translate it for you :P

All in all you can say that Torchlight is a great game for xbox live owners who do not yet own it for the pc, until Diablo III is released. The graphical style of the game really fits the fantasy setting of the game and the controls are easy yet effective. Even though the story is not really that interesting, its fun to complete through the mine and defeat horde after horde of enemies.

I just always loved Fallout's whacked out sense of humor. They did push the boundary a little bit and decided not to actually use this image though lmao. I can only imagine what would have happened

I finally got tired of using Skyward Sword as a paperweight and got Wii Motion Plus so I could play the darn game. I've only had time to play the first 10 minutes so far, so all I've really noticed is Link's new appearance. He's really been softened/smoothed out in this one.

A newish look is fine but it keeps reminding me of his creepy CD-i look

Apparently Skyward Sword is ridiculous because they drop so many innuendos on eachother it's like they're in high school. This is what I've been told.

There were certainly a lot of implied signs of affection between Link and Zelda in what I've played so far. My major complaint is just how much wii motion has gone into the game. I can see why I needed to get wii motion plus now, but nothing kills immersion like having to constantly make sure my controller is aligned with the screen. The new fairy ally is also a huge pain. Unlike Navi, Midna, etc., she's more like an AI program and speaks like one (according to my calculations, there's a 75% chance ect. ect. ect.), which fits into the high fantasy setting of a Legend of Zelda game about as well as the aliens did in the 4th Indiana Jones movie. I'm starting to worry that I just wasted even more money getting Wii Motion Plus.

I'll need to get back on this. I'm like 200 hours in, but I haven't completed the Civil War, started the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood, and about 1/3 through the main quest. (Got pissed when a glitch has left it impossible to finish the Dark Brotherhood. Misc Rescue Mission from the Companions has disappeared a character, so he's unrescuable, and I'm supposed to assassinate him in DB. There are so many bugs in this game, extremely poor quality control, and a lot of the bugs have been existent over the last several Bethesda releases. It amazes me daily the bullshit that major companies put out there. So many easy fixes, but they are more concerned with "new" features, rather than making sure the old features work properly.)

What the hell have you been doing for 200 hours? I did absolutely everything in 80 hours. I wanted to stretch the game out more but I was like...done.
