Yeah, NHLPA is pretty ridiculous. If they lockout again, I'm done with hockey. The last lockout resulted in my canceling the season tickets I had for 8 years. I also like how they wait until the "deadline" before saying anything about it, so now the NHL has no choice but to scrap all plans.

Regardless of whether he hit him in the thigh or not, the motion was clearly in the interest of clipping. He also doesn't mention the buildup before the hit where he started jabbing at Salo. Clearly he had intent to wipe him out on the play if you look at it. It's so obvious he wasn't trying to protect himself :roll:

5-8-0. Lost six straight after winning four straight.
They look like a club that feels as if they've been sold a bad bill of goods. Last year's run without Sid & Geno was sheer force of will. They were determined to prove they weren't just a two-man team, and they did a helluva job. But, in the back of their minds over the summer they had to be thinking, "Just wait until next season when we're back to 100%." Then, this year arrives and bam, Sid's out again, then Letang, then Staal, and it's just too much. That fight they had last year is spent. They played better tonight and have been saying some of the right things more recently, but they look like a club teetering on the brink of having their will broken. They don't have a choice, though, they've gotta keep playing and try to find a way out of the slump they're in. :evil:

I heard on the radio tonight Sid's traveling with the team on this road trip. Which is good news for the pens. The parody in the league is great. The teams are all so close, so much movement in the standings nightly. Every team is one or two injuries away from falling out of contention. Unless of course your from Anaheim or Columbus. You're already there.

My flight to Paris and then to Miami is on Tuesday at 5am so I don't know if I'll be able to accumulate more HTs after that for almost two weeks

It saddens me though that I'm getting HTs on the beaten backs of my beloved Pens. But, the beast that is Rob is so close behind, there is no time to rest or to choose battles!

Yes, he did travel with them to Washington, seemed to lift their spirits a bit as they played better against the Caps, despite falling short again. There are some dickhead media in Pittsburgh trying to make waves saying that the team thinks Sid should be playing, etc., trying to create some division there. Fuck Mark Madden.

So Montreal trades Cammalieri during the course of the game tonight, pulled him from the game and sent him back to the hotel. Pretty shoddy mgmt by the Canadiens lately. Earlier this season, they fire an associate coach two hours before a game, then have a head coaching change which leads to a whole flap about their interim coach not being a francophone, and tonight trade one of their top offensive players during a one-goal game on the road against their top rival. What the hell is going on with the Habs?
