Am I the only one that really likes their first 3 albums with Roy, Siege Perilous, The Fourth Legacy and Karma?

BTW, as I have mentioned before, i like the way Fabio sings for Kamelot, so no worries here

not a huge fan of Siege Perilous, but the 4th Legacy is a very good album...though still more of a "regular power metal album" than the unique Kamelot they became afterwards, imo
Karma must be the album with Forever and Don't You Cry - two of my favorite Kamelot songs...

It just flows better while he's singing. The English version sounds kind of forced, in my opinion

I have to say that I prefer the original version
the refrain of the French version does indeed flow nicely - and the rest fits, too
when things seem forced, it usually bothers me, too - but Don't You Cry doesn't sound forced to me

Karma and The Fourth Legacy are my 2 favorite albums of theirs. That is all.

Pretty much. I discovered Kamelot around 'Karma' though, so that's probably the reason. Had I listened to them earlier, I probably would be a fan. 'The Fourth Legacy' has one of my favorite songs on it though (and one they still play live) -- 'Nights of Arabia'.

'A Sailorman's Hymn' is still a classic though. I would love to see that live.

For some reason, seeing Fabio in the band bothers me. I've discussed this ad nauseum before, so I won't go into here but despite the fact that he is a very good technical singer, I don't like the way it flows with the aura of Kamelot. I would've rather seen an unknown vocalist or Michael Eriksen instead of someone established who I'll never be able to associate with Kamelot no matter how much I try.

Should still be an awesome time and still my favorite band on broad (though I've watched this Orphaned Land DVD twice in the last three days and they're providing quite the challenge).

Not only French speak the language. French Canadian too!

Khan accent is not bad at all on the song at less we can understand the words, unlike Fabio in the french version of Rhapsody's The Magic of Wizard Dream (the Christopher Lee counterpart is flawless)

But to have seen both Fabio and Khan live with Kamelot I better like Fabio, so I'm kinda happy he's sticking with the band.
Also, like few others, notably Bruce Dickinson, Jeff Waters of Annihilator and Herman Li of Dragonforce, Fabio makes an effort to speak in French to the french speaking crowd. Way beyond Bon Soir and Merci beaucoup mes amis!

Well, I don't know if Khan learned French at school or if some diction teacher learned him how to sing it right.
For Fabio it was more than few lines learned for a tour. I think he could have live in Lyon, France, for some time just as Luca Turrilli did.
