Did anyone else get legitimately sick from the cruise? I got a bad case of the flu starting when I woke up Friday.

Jep! Had a nasty cold on the flight back. I think I did last year too. Maybe I should've had more vitamins and less tequila/energy drinks.

Haven't gotten sick yet but giving it a couple more days before I say I escaped the cruise plague

Seems I didn't survive the cruise plague, got a cough and bit of a cold. Not too bad, though. Ah well. Still one of the best experiences, ever!

I have a little bit of sea legs once in a while. I notice it mostly in the shower, oddly enough.
As far as the blues, I don't really have them. I've heard a few comments about me being reserved and not hanging out with people during the cruise, and that's kind of a buzzkill because I had a killer time regardless. I'm really shy in person, and I wish I would've run into you guys more, but I was pretty set on doing my own thing.
It was like: shows, shows, beer, shows, food, shows, shows, nap, shows, beer, shows, food, shows, shows, oh-my-god-I-have-to-soak-my-feet-in-the-hot-tub-right-now-or-I-will-die, shows, shows, pass out. Repeat.

Didn't you go see a Nightwish show a couple times too?

Yeah, I have some unknown infection that started as a sinus/upper respiratory infection and then blew up into my seasonal allergies while on my flight back to Mpls/St. Paul, MN. I thought my head was being crushed while we descended into the Twin Cities. This mess started on Saturday while in Miami but I thought I just over did myself while snorkeling/diving. The second dive area the water was a bit colder than the first dive site.
I’m missing this whole week of work. I haven’t been this sick in a long time and our weather really sucks with temps in the 40’s and everything being very wet, soggy, and dense fog.
I should have saved this for the bitching thread.

as much as I loved the cruise, the sun, you guys, the concerts...and would have loved to stay there for a few more days...I don't really have the blues
I returned back home to a life I like; I even liked returning back to work (though I would have liked having more time off, too )
not even the difference of 35°C can bother me; this break in the middle of our winter just gave me a boost...and that's precious to me
unfortunately, I still haven't found my sleeping rhythm and I don't feel a 100% (darn ACs everywhere) - but sea legs isn't something I have to deal with

life is good - 70k just made it even better

Yeah, I wasn't nearly as depressed this year as last year. Maybe cus it's the second time around I just didn't have as strong of a feeling of excitement, even though I thought this year was more fun.

Yes it is! (life, that is) And after my last cruise hurrah! of sorts last night at Eluveitie (and of course many PBRs and at least one Schlitz ) - I am totally ready for (and actually looking forward to) some major chill/mellow times the rest of the winter and into the spring.

so it really seems more action packed!

Sounds like so much fun! I'm currently sick as a dog. It really hid last night when I went to bed before 9 pm (on the day before my day off, no less ) and didn't get up today till almost noon, but it wasn't good sleep. Kept waking up roughly every 2-3 hours with coughing fits. Man, my stomach muscles are so sore that at this rate I'll have abs of steel before this cold is over
