as much as I loved the cruise, the sun, you guys, the concerts...and would have loved to stay there for a few more days...I don't really have the blues
I returned back home to a life I like; I even liked returning back to work (though I would have liked having more time off, too )
not even the difference of 35°C can bother me; this break in the middle of our winter just gave me a boost...and that's precious to me
unfortunately, I still haven't found my sleeping rhythm and I don't feel a 100% (darn ACs everywhere) - but sea legs isn't something I have to deal with

life is good - 70k just made it even better

Yeah, I wasn't nearly as depressed this year as last year. Maybe cus it's the second time around I just didn't have as strong of a feeling of excitement, even though I thought this year was more fun.

Yes it is! (life, that is) And after my last cruise hurrah! of sorts last night at Eluveitie (and of course many PBRs and at least one Schlitz ) - I am totally ready for (and actually looking forward to) some major chill/mellow times the rest of the winter and into the spring.

Sounds like so much fun! I'm currently sick as a dog. Yes - that was fun! Kinda overindulged on the Pabst *again* in fact at the Eluveitie gig a few nights ago. Think I need to give the 'ole liver a rest - at least until next gig next month (if you stop smoking, I think I can go without PBR for a month! ) And glad you like the beer gifts - I can't see anything beer related now without thinking of you.

Hey gnoffi - I hear ya on the idea of getting sucked into facebook - like Ryan the mooyagicorn - I swore I'd NEVER join facebook - but after the cruise last year, it just seemed like a no-brainer! For the first several months I was checking the news feed daily and then I kinda gave that up - I've been on fb more pre and post cruise - but will probably lay-off it again once all the hype post-cruise dust settles a bit. Don't get me wrong - I love keeping in touch with everyone - but it gets to be a bit much. For online time - I prefer to hang out on this forum - although I may "peter out" on this one too eventually.


Btw - I like your post-cruise blues cures - although I think I'm gonna remain a stalwart anti-Skype kinda gal - as I said somewhere before in my over 3,000+ posts here - Waaay too Jetsons for me - does not compute! No can do!!

Not sure I can blame this on the cruise. I was a little sick the Sunday after the Friday I flew home but it passed quickly and I was fine all week. Then I went to the casino on the next Friday night and sneezed a couple times while there. Next morning I was sick as a dog and have been leaking out my face/congested as fuck with a harsh cough and tight chest ever since. It's manageable now but is still lingering. I think I caught it at work or the casino though, not onbroad.

Had the post-cruise blues real bad this time though. Really felt like I was in withdrawal and had no interest in sporumming or skyping at all. Rocksmith helped for a day but just really wanted to go back to the ship or to time travel to next January to be preparing to go again. I think I'm close to back to normal now but am still having a hard time getting focused on anything new n' positive like fitness or eating well. Hoping to shake that once these cold symptoms pass and get back on the fitness, nutrition, creativity horses to have another cool productive year between cruises. There's been some other cool social and professional stuff happening but even that feels kind of blah compared to where I wish I was. Hoping that Iced Earth/Symph X/Warbringer with some Vancouver 70K folk helps out by giving my heart a metal injection on V-day

Sorry for the lack of posts lately-I have a mild case of post cruise blues. let me give you all a rundown on what went down during/since the cruise:

I probably got all of you sick-i had a wicked cold on the boat-could probably tell by my clint eastwood-ish voice! It didnt dampen my spirit though

I hate to compare the 2 years but it just happens. Even though this year wasnt quite as fun for me as last year's, i have to admit there were alot of awesome suprises: meeting Snowy Shaw was cool, got to meet and hang out with somebody i had no idea was going to be on the boat (Rob Lowe) became a huge fan of a band that i have written of for many years (Kataklysm), Also became a fan of a few others (Pretty Maids, Diamond Plate, Vicious Rumors) re-acquanted myself with a few others that i have been into since the 90's (annihilator, overkill, Amorphis, God Dethroned) So, all in all, im very happy with my cruise experience for these above reasons.

I have MUCH anticipation for next year, but even more for Barge to hell!!!

the week after the Cruise, i had to work in Ft Riley, KS and it was a total clusterfuck!!!! Went from a totally awesome time to a bogus one. When i got home from Kansas, the girl i was dating dumped me to persue dating her best friend......story of my life!!!

However, i do now have a cure this week: 5 concerts in 8 days! Thrusday, i caught In Flames in albuquerque. However, the band had to cut a song short due to a fucking bomb threat (you may have read about that on bravewords or facebook). Really fucking lame!

Im currently at Ft Irwin, CA for work but on the way home on wednesday, im seing Children of Bodom/Eleuvitie in Phoenix, Thursday seing Machine Head in Tucson, Friday Sabbath Judas Sabbath (featuring our 2011 cruise friend James Rivera of Helstar) in El Paso, then on Saturday, Bodom and eleuvitie again in El Paso. an awesome week full of concerts! This will help my cruise blues!
