vikingbitch wrote:As much as I would LOVE to have the exact same cabin mates as I did for the last cruise (I miss Rachael, Rob and Valentin  ) I have a strong feeling that if any of them do the cruise again next year, it won't be Barge to Hell.

My rejoice? I'm getting a running start on trying to have my cabin mates ready to go and arranged. Already have two confirmed, one to go :deathhorns:

I'm only going to get to go on one cruise and have no idea which one as it will be largely lineup dependent. I'd prefer the variety offered by 70K but familiarity means a lot to me too. If we get half of the announcements for each and I know and like 10 from B2H and only 2 or 3 from 70K, I'd have to lean towards the Barge. Good thing is, with 2 cruises (and barring any huge names announced early), neither is likely to sell out too quickly so playing the waiting game isn't too high risk.

So Marlo, if you're planning to book as soon as tickets go on sale then yeah, I guess we won't be roomies again

But we could very well end up on the same cruise again :headbanger:

so...taking a little break from bands now. i have no firm plan as to i want to do next - there is a brand new metal project in town that seems promising, so i'll keep in touch as they're looking to start jamming more towards summer after they record. don't have my heart set on it though, if it works cool if not i will do something else!

Woohoo! Go go Karaoke!! Have fun hon!

On another personal rejoice note (or many notes hehe), I met a young-ish woman at Iced Earth gig Tuesday night and got talking music. Turns out she's in a couple local projects that we got talking about and then I saw what a great shredder she is so asked her about teaching. Starting lessons with her next week and gonna use Priest's 'The Sentinel' and Ozzy's 'Revelation (Mother Earth)' as starting points. Very stoked and anxious to get to work!

Already made a bunch of progress tonight on parts of the Ozzy tune that had stumped me before just cuz I wanna get the most out of the lesson(s) and use them as an excuse to do more playing and less, well, everything else I guess but start with passive shit like channel surfing and butt-scratchin' for starters
