One of my favorite bands that I've discovered recently is Allegaeon. They have two full length albums, an EP and every song is marvelous.

YEAP. They are really good for "start-up".
They did sign with UMC months ago but until now got only confirmation of the material received. They ARE Swiss, Andy IS Swiss, there should BE a Swiss band on BTH - RIGHT?

They only have one album... called Portal of I but its EPIC!

Another recent discovery is Dethklok. Yes, Metalocalypse's been on 4 seasons, but I honestly just discovered it. I love them.

I guess I'm finally starting to sit down and really listen to Revocation. Just been lazy with 'em. Glad they are getting recognition. Prefer a band like Sylosis, but I'm hearing a little bit of Chuck Schuldner reborn with this Revocation front man.

Definitely one of the 'newer' bands that have impressed me most in the past couple years. Saw them open for (?) someone a while back and was blown away by the diverse talent and live execution of their stuff. Went out and picked up Chaos of Forms not long after. I think the reason they stand above so many of the rest for me is the way the guitarist employs so much classic metal and even rock guitar stylings in such modern heavy sounding material. Absolutely a band I'll try never to miss when they come through town. :shred:
