Overkill - The Electric Age 2012 release

Legendary New Jersey thrashers Overkill have just announced details for their highly anticipated follow-up to their 2010 album ‘Ironbound.’ Titled ‘The Electric Age,’ the band’s 16th, count ‘em 16th, release is set for release this March.
For 32 years, wailing vocalist Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth and bassist D.D. Verni have led Overkill to the top of the thrash game. Heavily influenced by punk rock and pre-dating contemporaries such as Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax, the band helped pave the way for thrash’s launch into the mainstream.
Overkill’s critically acclaimed 2010 release ‘Ironbound’ re-ignited the excitement for Overkill — introducing a younger generation to their addictive thrash. ‘Ironbound’ was also the band’s first album to crack into the Billboard 200 chart since their 1993 release ‘I Hear Black.’
‘The Electric Age’ was recorded and mixed at Gain Studios in New Jersey, which is owned and operated by Overkill bassist D.D. Verni. If ‘Ironbound’ is any indication of what the band has to offer for the future, ‘The Electric Age’ will deliver a punishing classic thrash sound with a fresh, youthful atmosphere.

‘The Electric Age’ is set for a March 27 release.

Ironbound is great, and there are some promising titles there so I'm really excited for this now

I rarely download stuff, I buy the CD too

I pretty much don't get hard copy CDs anymore. I tend to buy direct download from Amazon as it's much cheaper.
