Bout the same for me. Well maybe a couple more just cus but yeah, I hope this festival has a lineup as good as last years again some time cus I'd like to go to it.

Even Party San lineup isn't UBER awesome this year. I didn't have any plans for Europe this year regardless, so I guess I can be thankfully that none of them are blowing me away and making me feel guilty.

yeah i hope the next year lineups are much better because that's when i wanna go to one of the bigger eurofests. House of Metal in Umea is a pretty small deal, 2000 peeps or so!

Hellfest lineup is pretty good for me - would LOVE to see Gotthard again. No-one could ever truly "replace" Steve, but the new guy has a good set of pipes.

And Within Temptation on the second day *says no more* :)

Masters of Rock would be the European festival of choice for me this year. I would gladly check out every one of these: WITHIN TEMPTATION (NL), EDGUY (Ger), SABATON (Swe), KAMELOT (USA), ARCH ENEMY (Swe), KORPIKLAANI (Fin), STRATOVARIUS (Fin), DEATHSTARS (Swe), PAIN (Swe), UNISONIC (Ger), GOTTHARD (Swi), TIAMAT (Swe), FREEDOM CALL (Ger), FIREWIND (Gre), SKYFORGER (LV), BLOODBOUND (Swe), BLACK MAJESTY (Australia)

I really really like how they appear to give all bands at least 45 minutes each.

I mean, on paper this year's Soundwave lineup looks amazing, but then you look at the timetable.

Holy Grail 30 minutes at 11am(!) directly clashing with Turisas (WHO EXPECTS A DIRECT CLASH AT A FESTIVAL AT 11AM FFS!), Cathedral 40 minutes, Devin 40 mins (and clashing with Watain), ITM 30 minutes, Kvelertak 30 minutes, 40 minutes for Steel Panther at 12.40pm. Ridiculous!

Apparently the running order has been online for more than a week now and I hadn't even noticed. The amount of overlap is not too bad for me, considering the fact that there are 3 bands playing simultaneously most of the time. Madball / Arcturus, Dropkick Murphys / Satyricon and Black Label Society / Forgotten Tomb are the toughest choices for me, that will probably be a half-half split then.

This year's line-up is nowhere near as good as last year's. The line-up for last year's Hellfest was just epic. I really wanted to go too but I was too worried that the trip would end up like my last trip to Europe which was a horrific experience. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy. Plus I didn't want to go by myself and I couldn't get anybody to go with me.
