I still have doubts about that. I've met the band a couple of times and they were really friendly (especially Russell). A couple of the guys come off as extremely shy, so maybe that could affect it, but I'm still holding out hope for Symphony X in 2013

I asked Michael Lepond and he said the reason they turned it down is cus of the Iced Earth tour.

Yeah, unfortunately though I don't think that matters cus a tour would trump a one off festival. That's why Stratovarius had to pull out of the first one. Hopefully they smarten up and get on the cruise.

So have you fully decided to do Barge instead of 70K?
I will try and get on BtH, then I will try and get on 70k

BTH
Arch Enemy
Mayan
Sons Of Seasons
Tourniquet
Living Sacrifice
Believer
70K 2013 - if these 6 were on broad, I would go no question
Within Temptation
Van Canto
Ten
Magnum
Tarja
Unisonic

That's a big negative, good sir. Rather, I'm facing the likelihood that I won't be able to do both Barge & 70K13, so I'm hoping all the pahhrrrr metal bands get booked for 70K & all the good bands get booked on Barge.![]()

But I'll quit busting your balls now. I (again) hope that the lineup this year is less good so I have more time to hang out with yall!Stained Class wrote:Exactly, your supposed to list bands you like thoughBut I'll quit busting your balls now. I went the "dream line-up" route. I'm hoping that UMC makes it less painful for me to miss 70K13 by booking power metal bands so, actually, that would be my dream line-up for 70K! That won't be the case, I'm sure, and I'll be grousing once I see a few bands I really like on 70K13. But, as a death metal fan there will simply be more bands I like on Barge. If I could do both, I would in a heartbeat. At this point, though, it's so unlikely I'm not even willing to entertain the thought.
Memnoch wrote:At the moment I think I'm most likely attending Barge to Hell. Will do 70k if the lineup is good enough. And that means no Arkona and lots of girlie stuff.
Epica, Nemesea, Within Temptation, Triosphere and no Arkona is my wish list for 70k.
Oh, and no Slayer, on either cruise.

Well, you're not the only one.
I'm a huge fan of technical death metal (Origin, Brain Drill...), death metal (HoB, Death, Morbid Angel...), goregrind (Aborted, Benighted...), doom (Cathedral, Candlemass...), 70's rock (Uriah Heep, Deep Purple...) and female-led metal. Oh, and I like lots of pop music as well. And The Cardigans is one of my all-time favourites.
And yes, I even liked the new Korn album.
