Fucking Bruins and their fucking limp dicked sad sack excuse for a fucking offense in this series. An opposing goalie is standing on his head so you make it fucking easy for him by peppering him with point shots with no traffic in front. Can't get a fucking body within 10 feet of the center and get no quality chances in the fucking game. That was pathetic.

That being said, I picked the Caps in the Hat Trick Challenge and my prediction of B's in 6 is still in play.

End of an era in Detroit. Much dismantling and retooling over the summer for them no doubt. Loving how teams like Nashville, St. Louis, Phoenix and L.A. bring so much to the fight this season. I have lots of complaints about the NHL's handling of various challenges but, in terms of league parity, they've done a great job of leveling the playing field and creating an annual competition that literally any of the contending teams has a great shot of winning. :beerbang:

Barring any big surprises, HTC questions today seem almost simple whereas tomorrow's are driving me a little nuts. Any or all 3 of those could easily go either way

Wow, Torres gets 25 games. I find that pretty extreme. Sure he has a history and Hossa was injured on the play but not seriously. I would think 5 - 8 tops but 25 could conceivably include the 1st 1/4 of next season but on how deep in the playoffs the Yotes run.

OK I've just watched Shanahan's brief and my original 5 - 8 would definitely be way way too light. I didn't realize he'd already been suspended twice this season. He's definitely got a bad reputation and it's obvious the NHL wanted to make an example of him.

Thought about this. 25 games is the maximum possible number of games the Coyotes can still play in the playoffs.* Looking at this as a suspension for the rest of the playoffs definitely makes more sense. Torres is such a fucking dumbass.

*Using the last game as the retroactive first game of the suspension

They gave out shirts for game 1 but we were at game 2 and they gave out pompoms instead. I don't like when they do whiteout/redout/yellowout/whateverout where everybody gets the exact same shirt at the game. Seems too manufactured. They're fine if people bring their own shirts for it.

Thomas looked today like he'd spent last night watching a Roberto Luongo 'how-(not)-to" video on NHL Playoff goaltending :lol:

Torres basically just got the Matt Cooke 2.0 suspension and I'm sure he'll be expected to attend some educational/counseling sessions before he returns and will be on a 3rd strike type status for the remainder of his career. Play right or you won't play. His BS almost cost us last year. I hope it doesn't hurt the Coyotes this time round.

No Kate, there have been suspensions of 30 games a couple times before (Chris Simon of NY Islanders a couple times) and another 25 gamer for the guy who cross-checked Canucks' Ryan Kesler in the teeth :shock:

Just got home from the game. It was fun, but man were the Coyotes outplayed. They hardly had any time in the attacking zone (one needs to possess the puck to get offense going) and they lost every puck battle during the game. The score (and OT) were not indicative of how close the game was.
