So, Fredrik, do we have to watch the final when you're in Finland if/when Sweden and Finland are playing? I'm not much of a hockey fan, but do watch some of the Finnish matches on the Olympics or World Championships.

Definitely. It just struck me this morning that all the good matches (hopefully) will be while we are in Finland. Since the quarterfinals stay within the groups they can't meet before the semi-finals.

Sweden has a much stronger team this year and from the games I've seen so far I don't think Finland can demolish Sweden quite like they did in the final last year, but I guess you never know with this guy on the ice

But I think both teams have a shot at making it to the semis, so let's hope for another battle of brothers. Sköl!! :shred:

Anyone else notice that the Hat Trick picks for Game 7 now give you the stats for how many people have picked each answer?

It's underneath the Saturday choices. This is new. For instance, the first question asks, "Will there be a power play goal in this game?" Underneath YES it says, "Picked by 88%" and underneath NO it says, "Picked by 12%"

My heart is with Phoenix simply due to underdog status and Dildobox sentimentality but my money is on L.A. and I'm actually a big fan of how they've played, how they beat Vancouver and the way many of their players have performed. L.A. was always my 2nd favourite team when I was younger cuz there was a player who had the same last name as me (Dave Taylor). First NHL game I ever saw was L.A. in Vancouver and Ivan Hlinka gave Dave Taylor a big bear hug in a hockey fight, picked him up and dropped him on the ice. Classic :headbanger:

Western Junior Leauge West Finals--Edmonton vs Portland here tonight Game 7 to go to the Memorial Cup
Man, even National League Lacrosse--our Edmonton team is in the Finals vs Rochster.

Just got back. Coyotes had a very bad game. Kings were skating circles around them, beating them to every puck, winning important face-offs and winning the puck battles. Also, the Coyotes were extremely sloppy with the puck. Their passes were either way off or a Kings player got a stick on it, they were slow, they had trouble with the first touch, they held on to the puck too long (especially with a potential shot), just an all around bad game. Hopefully they'll get their shit together for Game 2.

Looking grim right now, bro. With the current standings Sweden and Finland can't meet before the final. If Sweden makes it there they will have to beat The Czechs in the quarterfinal, and probably Canada in the semi-final. And between the USA and Canada games Finland conceeded 9 (!!) straight goals, so I don't see them going all the way.

Oh, well, leaves more time for drinking, yeah :) :shred:
