Lots of rumors. It wasn't a car accident according to a poster on the Blabbermouth story.

I knew there was I reason that I missed their show. I'm not a big fan of the Myth. This show was moved from downtown Mpls. to the suburbs of St. Paul (Maplewood). It was moved to a larger venue due to ticket sales. I will be at their re-scheduled date.

Exciting couple of days ahead in Chicago wih the upcoming NATO Summit here!!

This is only the second time in NATO's history that the summit has been held in the United States - so I think it's really cool it's being held here in our great city. With all the massive heightened security (Air Force enforcing the no-fly zone over the city, National Guard, Secret Service, Chicago police, and so on), hopefully there will be no major disasters due to any protesters going beyond their normal right to peaceful protest. Since I work in a large public building in the "Red Zone"(high alert), it will be interesting to see what it's like at work and in the area today & Monday. I plan to check out the rally today at Daley Plaza - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and others will speak. :cool:

There was some back and forth in the past few days about whether or not the rally at Daley Plaza would happen, but it did - and both Tom Morello and I were there! (I was close to the stage about 10 rows back)

I saw him another time at a pro-union/pro-worker event (I'm in a union) and he's great at these kinds of things. The rally seemed to go off without a hitch (at least what I could tell) - it was very peaceful. There were some good speeches representing various causes. Tom made a great comment that Chicago is his favorite city in the entire world (he's from the suburb Libertyville) and he would never do anything to harm the city in any way or to incite others to do so. Besides the big crowd at Daley Plaza, the downtown is really quiet - apparently lots of offices are closed due to NATO, so the Loop is much more quiet than usual. There is a *major* presence of Chicago police and Homeland Secuity police, which is kinda creepy. I asked one of the HS cops where they were all from and he said they were brought in from all over the country for this.

I applied for a dream job working at Phoenix International Raceway, and didn't get it, but I have an interview tomorrow with a travel agency that deals primarily with cruises, doing inventory control, so I'm really excited about that... except it's a long commute from my new home.
Which is also why I haven't been around here much. I've been focusing so hard on all this stuff, I feel like my social life is gone. One of my best friends and I aren't speaking anymore because I'm too damn busy job searching, shopping for home shit, and working graveyard shift.

Anyway, I hope to see you all very soon... there's that word again. :evil:

Yeah, know what you mean. On most festivals it seems like I'm the only one who actually paid for a ticket when seems that everyone else has a backstage/guest pass. Well, I did get to sneak in at Lutakko when I lived in Jyväskylä, but that was just because the Plutonium Orange/Swallow the Sun rehearsal place was in the same building, and we usually went and drank some booze there before gigs.
