Kate, did you have the normal grapefruit lonkero (grey stuff) or the yummy cranberry one (red one)?
Rhia, it's a mixed drink of grapefruit soda and gin, and there's a couple of other flavors like the cranberry one (karpalolonkero). They're called long drinks and are pretty similar to Mike's Hard Lemonade and such.
My favourites are the Lithuanian kiwi-apple one and Estonian rhubarb-apple one.

We're both maybes. The lineup isn't that good. But I'll be in town for the weekend, so at the very least I'll see everyone after the bands each day. I'm not decided yet on whether I'm buying a ticket or not, so we'll see...soon. :beerwink:

Well, they say that it's always hot when it's Tuska for some reason

Last year it was a few weeks later, but it was 30 degrees and I was melting! But it was really lovely in the night as you didn't need a jacket :)

Yeah, a friend of mine writes for that zine too, so I think it's a pretty solid rumor. :beerwink:

As for the weather, I think the average temp for July is around 18 C - and that's low because in the nighttime the temp is about 15 degrees or so. July highs are mostly above 20 and even above 30. Temp over 30 makes Tuska a painful festival (tuska = pain, agony).

It should be Velhopeto as in Finnish the two words have to be joined to give it accurate meaning. Velho peto would make no sense, but velhopeto would mean a person (?) who's both a beast and a wizard. :beerwink:

sweet! yeah, when we switched to your music at gnoffi's place, i dug it, remember? i just don't like the super happy folk, but i like keybroads and some folk influence if the music is heavy/dark.

and as someone who usually watches TONS of bands at fests, any beer time i get is usually bonus....i did see 33 sets onbroad this year! my beer time simply replaced my sleep time in the wee hours of the night/morning!

If I am having fun talking to people, I would only leave the beer tent for a must see band. I've had festivals where I've seen no more than 4-5 bands for one reason or another :oops:
