I'm in the middle of the biggest customer service FAIL I've ever been through in my life.
I ordered Dish Network last week and when the tech came he said they couldn't get a signal off my patio. They could do it off another satellite but the local channels would have to go off rabbit ears, or no local channels at all. I'm not watching football on weekends on fucking rabbit ears, so I cancelled.
The Dish Network guy actually recommended DirecTV, which I ordered. The sales girl told me they have MANY more satellites than Dish, so I thought, COOL! The technician came over to install it and said he couldn't get a signal at all. I cancelled that bullshit instantly. Cox Communications has monopolized the cable industry in Arizona, and they suck big time, so now I'm out of options. I can't believe I just bought a brand new HD TV and I have no fucking service. I called DirecTV back and wanted to have a supervisor come over and look at the line of sight, because from what my lady told me, the dipshit tech that came over was pointing the dish right at the building across the street. Unfortunately I wasn't there to push him off my balcony and make it look like an accident so he wouldn't infect this planet with more stupidity. Plus, the guy didn't even care that I was going to cancel, he actually wanted me to. What kind of shit is that?
Although I'm partly to blame for this misery because I jumped the gun on cancelling, it still pisses me off that I can't get some fucking television without running around in circles with these people. I just spent 45 minutes on the phone re-ordering my service and they won't be out until Monday. They better bring a crew of supervisors.
There's more to this story, but I'm done. This is unbelieveable.

My bitch at the moment - our Whoodle dog Oliver chewed & ate about a quarter of a library book I just checked out yesterday on past-life regression. Since I got the idea in my head last week of writing a novel series (for myself for the fun of it) which follows a main character, that is, soul (me ) over 2,000 years, I thought I'd read up on the subject. Even though I don't really believe in reincarnation, it's fun to imagine such things I think.

So, the dog decided that that particular book was really tasty I guess (he picked that one out of a pile in the family room ) and now I have to pay the library for a damaged book.

Good news is I found out yesterday that I only have to pay $9.50 - good thing it was an old book that had circulated a lot and not a brand new expensive hardcover.

Don't know how dogs can chew and eat the things they do! I'm hoping Ollie will grow out of his puppy chewing phase eventually. For now, we just do our best to keep shoes and stuff like that away from him. He has a lot of toys, but of course he wants what (I think he knows) he's not supposed to have. Kinda like humans sometimes.
