Look for us, we'll probably be the only ones wearing Colorado Avalanche garb! Last time we came up for a game, the mascot came over and shook his finger at us. LOL :

Don't take any crap from Fin! He's a mascot. If he give u a hard time, threaten to throw beer at him. Mascots hate being stuck in stinky suits!!

Seriously though, drive safe and have a fun trip! It's just starting to snow super light up here now as I prepare to leave to run some errands. Hopefully it won't get anything like what fell on Seattle recently.

As for the game, our boys have been playing pretty weak in front of Luongo this past week so, if he starts, I predict a 5-2 Avs victory (I hope I'm wrong but :? ) but if they start the kid, Cory Schneider, I'm sorry to say that your team loses 3-1 with an empty net goal by us late in the 3rd. Either way, have a blast and I'll watch for ya on TV!!

A couple of years ago, I was driving on Interstate 95 and was almost near my exit. I see two things dart across the road and I swerve as much as I can while trying to maintain control. Lo and behold, as I get closer I see that it's two wild turkeys hauling ass across traffic. I missed one, but one ended up running into the rear quarter panel of my truck. I couldn't stop, but I saw him run off in my rearview mirror.

When I got home, I checked my truck and you could see where his beak hit the truck and scraped it for a few feet. Popped the bolts of my wheel flare. Poor critter. And I now I will be devouring his distant relative tomorrow. It all works out I guess.

Look for us, we'll probably be the only ones wearing Colorado Avalanche garb! Last time we came up for a game, the mascot came over and shook his finger at us. LOL We're gonna stay at the Hampton Hilton Inn across from Rogers Arena so we don't have to drive 3 hours home.

I'll be cooking our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday, since we won't be back home until late tomorrow.

I'll probably hit a local rock show this weekend, and do some practicing myself for a benefit show I'm participating in on December 4.

However, starting my 5 days off with coffee and Bailey's! Woot woot! (I'm not driving up to Canada, Ron is, so I CAN start partying for the holiday!)

Rock on, my fellow metalheads. I for one, am thankful for 70,000 Tons of Metal!!! :heavydrink:

I can join in for a little while. Sorry about my absence. Since I got that job in Seattle at the hospital my whole world has been revolved around work and it really sucked. I quit my job yesterday giving them one week notice. Start the new job on December 1st. Lots of bad factors at the current job the parking situation for one. Only 2 hour parking around Swedish Cherry Hill and you have to move your car every two hours. The hellish commute, seeing accidents upon accidents. The 430 dollars per month (or more depending on how bad traffic was) for gas. Being away from home for 12 to 13 hours and getting paid for 8. Like salary I guess. Sitting with your thumb up your ass in traffic. Oh joy! NOT. My last day is Tuesday the 30th. Stuck at home due to the snow on Tuesday I found a contract to hire job through Volt at Premera Blue Cross in Mountlake Terrace. It's only like 6 miles away from me . You gotta do what is right for you... My health insurance and dental start right away and its 100 bucks per month taken out of your paycheck. At my current job I do not get benefits until December 29th (90 days) and then its 235.00 per month for Medical/Dental. With a 1,000 deductible. WTF? I am better off with something closer to home. It's ok if you live in the Seattle Metro area to work downtown. But you would have to pay me 22 to 24 bucks per hour to work down there. I was desperate for a job at the time. I cannot wait for this job changeover and to return to normal. My enter key on my laptop is dead and other buttons are flipping out. I guess its on its last leg. So I cannot chat instant messaging and its hard to email and to post on the forum. HAPPY THANKSGIVING CRUISERS!!!!!!! :) Last night at Dimmu/Enslaved, Enslaved dedicated the song "Clouds" to me. There were 1,500 people there. Cheers! Scott :viking:

That was awesome!!! :beerhorns:

Hodgy and I went to the show and that was pretty much the extent of any celebrating I'm doing this year. The show ruled, btw! This was actually going to be the first year of the past 6 that I was going to go with him to his friends' house where we're invited every year (and he goes) but with the cruise coming up, I went ahead and decided to work for the extra holiday pay. I work it every year, actually. Plus, since I'm trying to slim down and tone up before January, I figured it might not be a good idea to take off the biggest food day of the year. That's just asking for trouble!

My job cooked for us though and I gorged as soon as I walked in the door and I am taking some leftovers home so... holiday pay and turkey... well... could be worse...

One thing though...

Next time you pose for a pic like that, I wanna see horns upl!!

Sorry Penguin won't be getting any desert pics with horns. I bailed on going due to a forecast of 65 mile an hour winds. High winds with sand is a recipe for a really shitty time.

Thanks dude. I needed to recover anyway. Went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra last night and have been eating mass quantities of food for several days. This week has been like being in intensive training for the cruise...partying with friends, sleep deprivation, and too much food. :headbanger: Can't wait!! The cruise is going to be EPIC!!!

I lived in Denver for a year when I was very small, but grew up in southeast Wyoming, so Colorado is the closest professional sports teams. My brother lives in Loveland, and Ron's brother lives in Littleton.

The trip to Canada was fun, but we spent an extraordinary amount of money to watch them lose. LOL

Glad you had fun but am also happy my prediction proved to be wrong. We needed a couple wins before this long 5 or 6 days of no games at all.
