If they had an unlimited package for $70/day on 70k, they would still be losing money
I love how we are always the exception to all the rules!!!
From what I understand, they offered the unlimited drink package on one of the first 70k’s, and we literally drank the ship dry. To the point where they had to completely restock in the port city.
True! Not sure about the umlimited drinks package" I remember lots of talk about it way back when. On the first 70k, we broke an alcohol record for a weeks' cruise BEFORE WE LEFT PORT! Yes, we had to stock up in Cozumel. The crew were so happ y with us as we were nice, fun, polite, tipped A LOT! And treated them as people, not servants . Go us!
Yes, there is. It is also a good place to meet and greet artists. Last year I met the guys from Enslaved and took pics with Jonne and Fabio from Korpiklaani and Rhapsody, respectively
if things haven't changed, you're allowed to bring one bottle of wine per person
Things have changed. Don't try to bring alcohol at all, unless you're bringing it in rum runners and are willing to take the risk. Knew someone who tried to bring wine and it was confiscated before she got on the boat.last_candle wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 1:08 pmif things haven't changed, you're allowed to bring one bottle of wine per person
UMC even warned Royal Caribbean before the first 70K that we were a big alcohol-drinking group, especially beer.Jaimie38 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 9:12 amTrue! On the 2015 cruise, there was a dead cabin across from the one I was in. It was full of beer. We watched them removing alcohol from it. We talked to them & they were mainly using that room for after hours beer needs.
Aha!
This is actually the case on every cruise ship with a casino, which means everyone except Disney (doesn't have casinos) and Celebrity (which has nonsmoking casinos).Steve110 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 4:47 pm For anyone planning on spending extended amounts of time in the casino - I hope you like smoke.
Maybe I'm just a softy from California where cigarettes are banned basically everywhere outside the home, but I couldn't stand being in there for much longer than the time it takes to walk from one end to the other.
