Can't wait to see you guys!!!!
We can't wait to see you too!! All the CanadaLand plates down here right now always make me think of you!
That's awesome! I want to get a bonus for taking time off, but I get 4 weeks PTO and 1 week I buy, so I can't complain. Barcelona Rock Fest is looking good, though I'm leaning towards Brutal Assault for my summer fest, but still considering a couple others.
Congrats!
Congratulations! That must be exciting :)
Thankyou!
Thankyou! We were hoping for a boy but we are super excited to have her! Shes perfectly healthy!
After 99 days of bothering people to actually fill out my damn reference form, it was FINALLY finished today. Now it's ACTUALLY going to move somewhere. Boy do people suck, but the worst part (for me) is over now!
YAY!!
Yay! Where can we check this stuff out?captaingabbeh wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 7:30 pm I released my first EP of synthy music last week! (rejoicing thing 1)
I also took a gamble and hired a PR guy to help promote the release, and so far it's really paid off, so yay! Have review interest from as far away as Germany and a bundle of interview stuff to fill out, so that's going really well. Never realized you could put in so much work after a release, though...

oh, there were plenty of bands I'd have enjoyed seeing this year, and it would have been fun to go... but yeah, my daughter just turned 1, buying a house, getting the kittens... plus career change earlier this year and winning a settlement against my previous employer... it's been one hell of a year... suppose we'll see what happens next yearmetalforever wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:05 amFirst congratulations on getting your home !DrinkMoxie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 5:22 amI didn't go because I was buying (and did buy) a home, too... plus I got 2 kittensJoAnnamayhem wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 2:54 pm Not going on 70k this year because I wanted to save money to buy a home, today I got approved for a mortgage and I couldn't be happier =)
2 kittens real cool also , good luck .
I always read your posts they are always interesting .
You really did not miss much with not going on the 2020 cruise , the better move was definitely doing as you did for the kittens and the home.
I was locked in with the cruise due to laying the money out and not wanting to take a loss by cancelling .
Made the most of it overall , clearly my least desirable cruise of the three times I attended .
Good for you man!
Same in the US, but glad you are going to take some time for yourself! My coworkers and I tried to work everyday when COVID started cause we wanted all the OT money, but after they noticed we were working like 20 straight days they said we now have to take at least 1 day off a week. It's nice to have the option, but I would hate if I always had to work that much.Jaimie38 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 10:42 am Handed in my resignation at work today. Those that know, I work as a Parts Manager at a Volvo dealership. 6-7 days a week for best part of 20 years has finally tired me out..
On one of the cruises, I chatting with a German chap and he said "It's illegal to work that many hours!"
