I'm on the fence about doing this for a few reasons. It's my first time, so I wanna explore everything. and the other is I know my wife doesn't give a shit about you people, and won't want to waste time doing this, lol.
lol. By the time 3 pm rolls around, you'll have had enough time to explore everything onbroad unless you ended up boarding really late.
Some areas won't be accessible anyway, like the pool deck stage area and some of the concert venues. Pool deck and the deck above (pier side) will be closed for loading and construction since all of 70K's stuff has to be swung aboard with a ginormous crane and dropped on that deck.*
You'll really only need to check out the Royal Promenade, the deck below (with the casino), maybe below there and Studio B (ice rink) although that nice bar outside it is apparently gone.
Take a few more minutes to check out the helipad forward (accessed via Deck 4), the Windjammer (Deck 11) and the sports court in the back and you're basically done.

* the Viking Crown Lounge is a great place to watch this process from, BTW. From a logistical standpoint 70K is a monster, and one of the reasons why I don't feel so bad about paying a huge premium for the cruise.
