I’ll honestly be shocked if we get any at this point who aren’t from the US.
I'd love it to be them, but don't think they are even on Andy's radar.
I really don’t think they’ll all be domestic. For 2016, there were 15 bands announced very late in the game (days to go). 9 of them were from other countries.
Wow, surprising indeed. Will dude actually be able to make it through 2 sets?Andy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 4:41 pm Beware of THE FACELESS as they invade the high Seas!

I saw them a year ago in LA and he did a great job, they did Summer Slaughter this year and by all accounts it went well too.Downvod wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:08 pmWow, surprising indeed. The frontman has struggled with addiction, to the point where they often don’t finish gigs or show up for them at all. It has caused the live band to become a revolving door. It seems that things have stabilized a bit over the last year or so, though.Gratch wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 6:25 pm?Downvod wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:08 pmWow, surprising indeed. I dunno about you, but most of these announced bands have not been to vancouver in many years, some of them never. It's a pretty sweet run of bands from across the metal spectrum.acidbasement wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:39 pm Wow, so many American bands that we can see all the ducking time. GSO are good, but you know we don't go on 70k for the American bands.
Agreed... GSO has played Chicago only 2 times ever, and both were 25-30 minute opening sets. There are many European bands who play the states way more than they do.Danny24601 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:59 pmI dunno about you, but most of these announced bands have not been to vancouver in many years, some of them never. Also, a great many 70K sailors aren't from the US so this isn't something that is going to be as relevant across the board as it is to you, acidbasement. I imagine a great many 70K survivors attend specifically to get to see US bands that may not get to Europe or elsewhere often or everDownvod wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 12:34 amAgreed... Holding the America bands bands makes sense now because of the late start, mainly people from North America were most likely to book after the initial weeks of booking. And getting America bands to cruise so close to New Years was probably easier.Unless he is booking these bands now and concerned about getting bands past US Customs to play.acidbasement wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:39 pm Wow, so many American bands that we can see all the ducking time.
