Yeah, the cruise will be in 2021, but in December.
What’s this?
The truth. All that's been confirmed so far is that the cruise in 2021 is going to Jamaica. We don't know what ship (and cruise line), and for all we know it could move to December 2021.
It's absolutely ridiculous. And I'm pretty sure it'll be in jan/feb of 2021. BUT, I get what they're saying, all we know is the cruise is in 2021, and no months are ruled out.
There are no known issues...but there are few known facts either, so speculation is rampant.
I think it would be highly unlikely on Carnival, since their pool-deck areas aren't really set up for a pool-stage. (On their larger ships the pool-deck is terraced, and the actual flat "stage-and-floor" area would be too small.)slayergeek wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 12:27 pmThere are no known issues...but there are few known facts either, so speculation is rampant.
Could it be on the Independence the normal super bowl weekend...sure it could.
Could it be on Carnival in December of 2021. We'll the only known facts are sometime in 2021 we will sail to Jamaica, this speculation matches the facts, so this possibility can not be eliminated.
Holland America Lines, or as I call their ships, "God's floating waiting-rooms."Based on the lack of facts a LARGE number of idle speculation scenarios 'could' be true. Don't take any if this speculation as fact..the bottom line is no one outside of UMC knows what's going on and until they say something, all kind of speculation with be thrown around.
I'm frankly surprised we didn't go there this year, and aren't going there in 2021. Seems like a no-brainer and Royal would get EVERY dollar from our excursion money there, too.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 5:41 pm WHEN are we gonna go to Coco Cay??????

As much as I like going to new countries in the Caribbean, Coco Cay looks absolutely great! Come on, skipper!cowboy71 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 5:41 pm WHEN are we gonna go to Coco Cay??????

Looks my May 28th guess got missed but a lot of that blame probably should go to me for burying it in text.cegr80 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 11:40 am All dates 2020 unless noted.

Has there been any speculation about them using a different cruise line?
Yes but purely wild speculation! I would bet my farm that we'll be back on Royal Caribbean next year.Jotunheimr wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 3:15 pmHas there been any speculation about them using a different cruise line?
Weird that he hasn't even named the ship for next year. I'd bet we're getting an 'upgrade' (I use the term loosely) to a bigger ship, maybe every five years or so. And why Jamaica again? It seems like the least popular place we've been to.cowboy71 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 4:49 pmYes but purely wild speculation! Forget guessing the first band announcement. Instead guess the sail dates announcement or the actual sail dates, haha! F'n ridiculous.deathmetalpat wrote: ↑Sat Feb 29, 2020 10:39 am So I was waiting until the end of February because surely we would have a date by then and no....
So I go with September 11 2020 ,just because Andy has already jumped the shark so hard the date wouldn’t even be ironic at this point.
The winner last year -- I forget who it was also -- made the "joke" guess for some date in January 2020, as no-one seriously believed that the first band announcements would take until mid-October. Silly people! We should have known that Andy and 70K would destroy all expectations!*
