Keep in mind, my cabin might be equally as loud.

sageoftruth wrote:Ok lessee... So far, there's been a slaughtered Direwolf, a decapitated horse (looks like the mafia can time travel), and tons of horses being ridden for long periods. How much longer before some extremist from PETA sends HBO an angry letter?

Yeah that was pretty disturbing..

That scene made me uncomfortable enough in the book. In the TV series I couldn't even look at the screen. By comparison I think I felt less uncomfortable when the Knight of Flowers was shaving Renly's chest.

cowboy71 wrote:So who has watched the latest episode?
Little less...okay a lot less... confronting than last week's.
Lots to love though - the sword fight was the best though.
"You do not fight with honour"
"He did"
And the final scene - brutal!

As for Viscerys, I'd already read the book, so I knew what was about to happen. How was it seeing that happen without knowing about it beforehand?

Speaking of which, wasn't that Sansa/Joffrey scene horrible??

Two words:
HOLY.
FUCK.
Even when I knew exactly what was next in the story line, it's still surprising.
By and large the best episode thus far. Absolutely incredible.

However, if you finish the next book before I do and give out spoilers of it on the forum then we may need to have "words" on the boat![]()

What did you think of the episode by the way? I fell even more in love with Drogo. Trying to remember the exact quote, something like "Moon of my life, are you hurt?" Sooo cute. Followed by brutal masculine ferocity. Fucking fantastic lol.
cowboy71 wrote:hahaha yeah - and when he was stomping around the fire and blurted out something about raping their women as a way to avenge his wife. Priceless![]()

sageoftruth wrote:***Spoiler*** (Crosses self) Father, I have sinned. I was watching Games of Thrones with my mother last night and it ended on such a cliffhanger that she said, "Oh my. Does Ned end up dying?" Because I'm such a bad liar, I told her the truth, spoiling one of the most defining moments in Game of Thrones. My mother forgave me, but will all of you?

Daenerys wrote:I've alwaysssss been in love with Drogo, you can totally add me to the Drogo Rape TeamEpitome of manliness infused with gentleness. I was getting a little irritated in the first 2 eps because they were kind of leaving out his compassionate side. I was all
at the love scene with him and Dany where he calls her by her name for the first time - and they left that out!!
TEAM DROGO RAPE = WIIIIINNNN

My company acquired a new ER this year, so unfortunately I've been guilt tripped into picking up extra shifts, which has fubar-ed my forum and sit-on-my-ass time

Oh yeah. That. About that, I know that the book Game of Thrones was not PG, but when they took it to TV, they appeared to turn the sex appeal up to 11. Even if it was already at 10, some of the scenes, like the shaving scene with Renly and Loras, or the numerous brothel scenes just gave me images of guys at a desk going, "George Martin's material is pretty good, but how about we give it more breasts and try to make it sexier, then watch as the ratings go up." I guess I saw it that way because I occasionally watch the seires alongside my family and I didn't want them to think that I watched it just to see breasts.
